Pairing a 6-speed manual transmission with its 3.4-liter flat-six, this 1999 Porsche 996 Carrera is finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over Black leather. It was configured from the factory with an optional limited-slip differential, anti-slip regulation (ASR), an automatic braking differential (ABD), the Hi-Fi Sound System, power-operated seats, supple leather upholstery, and more. Fortified with an LN Engineering IMS bearing, a new clutch, and a new rear main seal in 2022, this 996 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Virginia with approximately 123k miles showing on the odometer.

This Carrera comes finished in Arctic Silver Metallic and rides on aftermarket 18” OZ Alleggerita wheels mounted with 5mm rear spacers. Details include an optional rear window wiper and headlight washers, replacement Porsche halogen headlights fitted in 2023, and Suncoast smoked turn signal lenses. The seller reports minor flaws including paint touch-ups on the driver's rear fender, a faint buffing mark on the front fender visible in specific lighting, and a small paint chip on the passenger door. The driver's tail light has fine cracks but remains sealed, and the windshield has a minor chip. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. The sale includes the original turn signal lenses and 17” wheels, refinished under the previous owner's care and fitted with Continental Extreme Contact tires said to remain in like-new condition.

The Black partial leather interior features optional supple leather seat upholstery, a CD compartment, power-operated seats with memory functions, a CDR-210 stereo, and a Hi-Fi Sound System. A Rennline phone mount has also been fitted. The seller notes scuffs on the seat backs, mainly on the driver’s side, with partial silver paint wear on the frunk, engine lid pulls, and door pull tabs. The passenger seat belt light stays on, and the cruise control function is inoperative.

A naturally aspirated 3.4-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 296 HP and 258 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. Optional features include a limited-slip differential, anti-slip regulation, and an automatic braking differential. Service highlights include an LN Engineering IMS bearing, a new clutch, and a rear main seal in March 2022. The seller notes the air oil separator appears to have been replaced during an inspection. Additionally, Koni FSD struts and motor mounts were installed in 2018, with a new battery, A/C recharge, and stainless brake lines added in 2022. The CARFAX report shows a total of 30 service history entries.

This sale will include a clean title, owner’s manuals, a toolkit, a spare tire, a car cover, used turn signal lenses, and small miscellaneous parts.

The seller would like you to know: “This car has been tracked three times by me but has never left the track, skidded, or come in contact with another vehicle or object. The car performed flawlessly without incident or abuse. It is not a concours car, but the perfect starter 911. In need of no major work. Has been a reliable and robust weekend driver. A joy to drive - you drive it, not a computer. Responsive, linear power, and excellent handling. Fast, comfortable, and smooth on the highway. IMS was done by LN under prior ownership in early 2022, along with clutch and RMS. New headlights and battery in 2023. The sunroof and rear spoiler operate perfectly. Normal wear and tear and some small flaws appropriate for age and mileage. Beautiful 18” OZ Alleggerita rims with mounted Continental Extreme Contact Sport Plus tires. Original refinished 17” Porsche rims with almost new Continental Extreme Contact tires are included. This great little car is well-maintained and ready to be enjoyed by the enthusiast on a budget. Thanks for looking, and happy bidding.”

@surroues Thanks for your thoughts - the reserve was lower than the DT price.

lol I wouldn't really consider that buy it price a "bargain"! https://www.pcarmarket.com/auction/1999-porsche-911-carrera-21/ have a look at this early 99 that sold last week for $18k.... and it only had about a hundred thousand less miles on it

Dbahnick thanks for your bid, and hello watchers. If this auction meets my reserve, I'm still going to lose money on the car. No regrets. It's been a blast. The work I've done on it is definitely what it needed. So my loss will be the buyer's gain. The car is turn key, ready to be driven and enjoyed, at minimal expense. I would drive it across the country tomorrow. Reason for selling - I want a little more power. Happy to answer any questions as best I can.
