This 1999 Porsche 996 Carrera Coupe is finished in Glacier White over a grey interior and features a 6-speed manual transmission paired with its 3.4-liter flat-six engine. It has been customized with RS-style side stripes, 19” Fuchs-style wheels, an Alcantara shift boot, a wood shift knob, and Gundo-hacked mufflers. Fortified with a replacement clutch and IMS bearing, this 996 is now being offered for auction out of Tennessee with approximately 162k miles showing on the odometer.
This Coupe is finished in Glacier White with custom green Carrera RS-style side stripes and Mobil Pegasus fender decals. Other equipment includes fog lights, power mirrors, an electric sunroof, a speed-activated rear spoiler, dual exhaust outlets, Porsche-branded brake calipers, and aftermarket 19” Fuchs-style wheels dressed in Firestone tires from 2019. The seller notes the car was completely refinished in its original color under prior ownership and some imperfections can be seen on the bumpers. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The grey interior features reupholstered power-operated leather seats, a four-spoke leather steering wheel, and an aftermarket Alcantara shift boot with a custom wood gear knob. Other accessories include power windows, a central locking system, automatic climate control, cruise control, stainless-steel Carrera logo door sills, supple leather rear seats, a CD storage compartment, and a Porsche CDR-210 stereo which has been retrofitted with a Bluetooth receiver.
Rated at 296 HP and 258 lb.-ft of torque, the naturally aspirated 3.4-liter flat-six engine sends power to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. The seller notes a Gundo hack has been performed on the muffler for increased sound, the struts were replaced at 100k miles, the IMS bearing was replaced at 130k miles, and a new clutch was fitted at 160k miles. The cam solenoids, rails, and bank two mechanical cam tensioner were also replaced under current ownership. The seller adds that a minor belt squeak occurs when the car is warm.
This sale will include a window sticker, a toolkit, a spare tire, an air pump, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “This is stored in my garage, it’s just used primarily for pleasure drives, and car shows. I am a Porsche enthusiast; this is my fifth water cold 911 and I’ve had probably a dozen air-cooled 911 over my lifetime. The car is very clean for the mileage and age.”

@teddydanielz morning, we are out til tomorrow mid day but I can grab the jack and snap a few tomorrow afternoon
Sorry for this holiday weekend ask but any under carriage photos? Thanks again!
Bid in the amount of $10,000
@teddydanielz I can try to capture some better pics but it will be Monday. Both the wheel liners are intact, I see what you mean by the picture after looking but I think it’s probably the angle I captured the photo.
The front bumper has a couple nicks from where a plate was mounted previously, but otherwise it’s pretty clear overall stone chips for the age.
I have not had a DME report pulled on the car.
@jonyellow911: Can you comment on front bumper overall status? On pic 29/83 the wheel well liner seems out a bit and maybe there’s a bit more gap at the side light? Lastly, I hate to be the DME report guy but any recent DME reports? I see the codes from March thru May were all dealt with! Thanks again.
@teddydanielz if you watch the video, the initial squeal is maybe 2 seconds. Car was warm at that point. It doesn’t happen when initially cold. I’m thinking it’s the AC compressor but I’m not 100% sure. The AC compressor theory is just based on me listening while my wife starts the car
@joneyyellow911: Can you add a little more about the belt squeek? Does it fade away or keep at it? Any ideas what the cause is? Great maintenance! Super impressive.

@luis.seneriz I’ve added a couple photos of the door sill label. Yes it’s an early build from what I’ve been told 5/98

@luis.seneriz hi Luis, the car does not burn any noticeable amount of oil between changes
Bid in the amount of $1,996
Seller does the car uses any oil. Also can you please post of picture of the driver side door sill. I believe this is an early car. Seems like a nice higher mileage example.
Hello all, my name is Jon and I have owned this 996 for a little over 2 years. It's been a joy and it is probably one of the cleanest vintage cars I have owned despite the mileage. I'm looking for get into the cayman platform so I figured I will pass this beauty on. Here to answer any questions.
