This first-generation 1998 Porsche 986 Boxster is finished in Black over a matching interior and features a 5-speed manual transmission paired with its mid-mounted flat-six engine.     "...no IMS issues prior to 2000 so nothing to worry about there..." Not quite true. While failure is less prone on the dual row IMS bearings, it's still an issue and well documented.
