Designated as the very last air-cooled Porsche to have been produced for North America, this 1998 Porsche 993 Carrera S Coupe was originally built for Jerry Seinfeld with a “Special Options Package” costing $41k. At an original sticker price of nearly $120k, it was also specified with Panthero Metallic paint, Black full leather upholstery, power Sport Seats, yellow brake calipers, 18” Technology hollow-spoke wheels, the Motor Sound Package, and a Tiptronic S automatic gearbox. This historic 993 has been with the current owner since 2021 and is now being offered for auction out of Texas with just over 6k miles showing on the odometer.
Among the rarest and most desirable 993 variants, the Carrera S features wide fenders and bumpers derived from the 911 Turbo as well as a unique split-grille rear decklid. This example is finished in Panthero Metallic (LY9Z), a color originally offered on the 944 model between 1990 and 1991 and seldom seen on other vehicles. Equipment includes optional yellow brake calipers, 18” Technology hollow-spoke wheels, colored Porsche crest wheel center caps, a “911” rear model designation, a speed-activated rear spoiler, an electric sunroof, xenon headlamps with washers, integrated fog lights, and dual stainless-steel exhaust tips. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The interior is appointed with Black full leather upholstery including optional power-adjustable front Sport Seats in supple leather. Details include yellow seatbelts, stainless-steel door sills with model insignias, black floor mats with yellow Porsche logos, and carbon fiber trim spanning the steering wheel, gear selector, and handbrake. Other equipment includes a Becker-Porsche CDR-210 stereo, Sound Package Plus, automatic climate control, cruise control, steering wheel shift buttons, and a tachometer with an integrated computer. A commemorative plaque in the trunk designates the car as the last air-cooled Porsche produced for North America, built for Jerry Seinfeld and completed at the factory on December 19th, 1997.
An air-cooled 3.6-liter M64 flat-six engine delivers up to 282 HP and 250 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a Tiptronic 4-speed automatic transaxle with a manual shift mode. The optional Motor Sound Package is equipped and includes a revised airbox and muffler for a more aggressive tone. The seller indicates the battery was recently replaced.
This sale will include the original manufacturer’s literature, a toolkit, an air compressor, and a clean title.

Tiptronic?!?! Well, Jerry did live in NYC, and during traffic, a clutch would get very tiresome!! Also, when you have 100+ Porsches, an automatic is to be expected.
Beautiful car - GLWTS
@Modiecast The second owner purchased the car in 2007 and I purchased it in 2021. All service records in my possession will be included with the purchase at the close of the auction. Please note my collection is kept by my estate manager which includes maintaining batteries, periodically starting and moving cars in the garage, ensuring fluids are maintained, etc.
Correction. Since 2017.
Do you have any service records? It appears the car hasn’t been serviced since 2021.
Jerry Seinfeld received this C2S, the final air-cooled Porsche to be delivered to the United States, on April 23, 1998….ironically just three weeks in advance of the final episode of “Seinfeld” which aired on May 14, 1998. Two great things coming to a simultaneous end. Poetic.
*the New York Vehicle Registration sticker and New York Inspection Certificate sticker are dated 4/2007 and 6/2006 respectively.
Included with the sale is the original manufacturer literature including (1) Porsche Dealer Directory, dated September 1997; (2) Porsche Warranty and Customer Information; (3) 1998 Warranty Coverages and Porsche Roadside Assistance Program; (4) Porsche Maintenance book; (5) Porsche 911 Carrera 911 Turbo Owner’s Manual; (6) Vehicle Option Detail dated 2-7-2007; (7) Porsche Roadside Assistance card; (8) Becker Automotive Systems code card.
A wheel lock key is also stowed in the glove box.
There is a Porsche branded CD changer in the front trunk along with the original license plate frame from Carlsen Redwood City.
Finally, the original (1) New York Vehicle Registration sticker; and (2) New York Inspection Certificate sticker remain affixed to the lower corner of the front windshield.
@Gofaster I just looked in the glove box and found the original Porsche Maintenance book. It has Jerry Seinfeld’s name inscribed showing the “First in-service date of your Porsche” as of 4-23-98 and signed by the Dealer Representative. This is a special find.
Additional content has been added to the gallery for this listing.
Do you have any paperwork that has Jerry Seinfeld’s name or signature on it that will come with the car?

@porsdrvr95 Thank you for your bid. I will transfer all documentation we received when we purchased the car. It was bought from a consignor who was representing the second owner’s estate.
There is a plaque installed in the front trunk as shown in the photos of this listing that represents it as the final air-cooled Porsche to be delivered to North America. VIN 1327 is widely known to be the final example specified and sold to Jerry Seinfeld.
