A high-performance variant of the W210 E-Class luxury sedan, the Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG came equipped with a hand-built 5.4-liter V8 along with AMG Monoblock wheels, Exclusive AMG leather upholstery, and an AMG-specific body kit. This pre-facelift 1998 example is a European-market car finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic over a Black and Emerald leather interior. It was imported to the U.S. from Japan in March 2023 and is now being offered for auction once again on PCARMARKET out of New York with approximately 57k kilometers (35k miles) on the odometer.
This E55 is finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic (744) and features an AMG-specific body kit with unique bumpers covers and side skirts. Other equipment includes xenon headlights with washers, front fog lights, a glass sunroof, dual exhaust pipes, and 18” five-spoke AMG Monoblock light alloy wheels. The seller notes all four wheels were professionally refinished and dressed in new tires under their ownership. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Inside, this W210 is appointed with Black and Emerald (586) Exclusive AMG leather upholstery complemented by Black Birdseye Maple wood trim. Accessories include heated and power-adjustable front sport seats, driver memory settings, a heated rear bench seat, dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, a rear sunshade, auto-dimming mirrors, a rain sensor, the Parktronic system, and a sound system. An aftermarket OE-style Continental Bluetooth head unit was installed under the seller's ownership. The seller adds that the two rear window regulators have been disconnected due to a possible fault in the module.
This E55 AMG is equipped with a naturally aspirated 5.4-liter M113 V8 engine producing 349 HP and 391 lb.-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven through a 5-speed automatic transmission. Service performed under the seller’s care in 2023 included replacements of the fuel sending unit, evaporator hose, engine oil/filter, air filters, cabin filter, differential fluid, power steering fluid, coolant, and a brake system flush.
This sale will include a clean title: "I have been in love with this car since the first time I saw one in 1999! In the US, we only had 1 year of this car before it got a refresh and I find these early cars to be more desirable, especially from a build quality standpoint. To keep this short, this is a stunning example, and the blue seat inserts are to die for. No disappointments with this car, come see it. Happy Bidding!"

@EUROsellinc What are the circles on the bumper covers that look like plugs. They are not on the US version of these cars.

@eurosellinc: thank you for proving the video demonstrating the light functionality. Two more questions:
1) The washer fluid level warning on the instrument cluster, is that actual fluid low level or a bad sensor?
2) In the pics and driving video, the HVAC system is shown to be turned OFF on both sides. Can you demonstrate that the system is working properly?
Thank you

@GTINick tires are brand new (less than 500 miles). We had them installed last year.
@Ohms530 the VIN is correct, will add a pic of the VIN on the car
@GTINick it was and had trouble sourcing it which is why we took the car off of the market. We sourced one in Denmark and had it installed a few weeks ago hence the car is back on the market now to sell!
@dspoljaric sure

Your VIN you have posted here does NOT match the VIN on your CarFax. Also, the VIN you have placed on this post doesn't belong to any car...is it a made up VIN. If so, why?

Hi @EuroSellInc,
I see in the service notes that a new fuel tank was recommended. Do you know if this work was performed? Also, I see that at that time new tires were recommended. The tires appear new. Can you please provide the date codes? Thanks in advance.
@eurosellinc: can you provide images of the lights operational front and rear?
@EUROsellinc Thank you for your response. I just wasn’t sure if it makes a difference since it is a Japan import.
@mrmadell there are none that we can see being that the car is all stock and unmodified. CA can be cumbersome and for that reason, we cannot make any guarantees as I am sure you can understand.
@UKCHAP thank you for the kind words, looking forward to seeing this go to a deserving enthusiast.
Will there be any issues passing CA smog?

Nice to see this back online. Good luck my friend, brilliant AMG!
