This 1998 BMW M3 Convertible comes finished in Titanium Silver Metallic over a Dove Grey leather interior and features a 5-speed automatic transmission paired with its 3.2-liter S52 inline-six engine. It also comes factory-equipped with a removable hardtop, 17” forged 5-spoke wheels, power-adjustable and heated front seats, cruise control, a Harmon/Kardon Sound System, and more. Showing under 114k miles on the odometer, this E36 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Washington with its original window sticker and a host of documentation.
Compared to a standard E36 3-Series model, the M3 version features unique bumpers with a front chin spoiler as well as flared side skirts and aerodynamic mirrors. This example comes finished in Titanium Silver Metallic with a black electrically operated convertible top and an optional body-color removable hardtop. The 17” Style 24 M double-spoke forged wheels are said to have been professionally refinished and mounted with nearly new tires. The CARFAX report notes damage in July 2002 and April 2010. Additional images are provided in the gallery.
The cabin is presented in Dove Grey leather with heated and power-adjustable front seats. Additional factory equipment includes an onboard computer, cruise control, and a Harman/Kardon Sound System. All gauges, electronics, and accessories are confirmed to be in proper working order. Some wear is noted on the floor mats.
This E36 M3 is equipped with a naturally aspirated 3.2-liter S52 inline-six engine that delivers up to 240 HP and 236 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels by way of a 5-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. The CARFAX report shows a total of 15 service history entries, and the seller states that maintenance is currently up to date.
This sale includes a clean title, owner’s manuals, the original window sticker, a toolkit, a spare wheel and tire, and a host of documentation dating back to the initial delivery.
The seller would like you to know: "Single-family ownership: passed from father to son before I purchased it through my dealership. It has been my daily driver, and I’m now ready to sell. All services have been performed by BMW experts and are current."

Sellign or for sale? Sell the hard top separate then. I know it has value but that’s a needle in the haystack buyer that wants the hard top and car that bad. I wish you luck.
One click of the mouse and first search all M3s selling for more than $25k

It has a hardtop which adds a min of $5k to the value - I get offers if $7-$8k just for the hardtop all
The time - original window sticker and one family owned is also huge as well as full service history
I see plenty at the 190-200k mile range selling for $18k out there for sale in the marketplace
Wild price for an auto convertible with +100k miles. Totally out of touch
I knew 5k wasn’t buying it but a manual with only 70ish k miles on it sold yesterday on the other auction site for under 15, this sadly isn’t realistic.
Bid in the amount of $5,250
@mcoupejeff They were refinished to Exact Factory Specs - This is Seattle - Grey overcast skies so they do not look as "shiny" in the Pictures but they are correct, I have the original in the trunk (untouched) and they match it perfectly.
I’m quite interested in this car. Were the wheels refinished? They look slightly more gray than normal painted style 24’s and they’re all missing the little M stickers. Thank you!
Bid in the amount of $5,000
@Skopy54 LOL .. I do have a handful of proper Cassettes I might be talked out of to go with it - Night Range, Eurythmics, Maimi Vice Soundtrack, Bob Seger
What cassette comes with the car to the winning bidder?
