Finished in Arctic Silver Metallic, this Carrera 4S features wide Turbo-style bodywork with a naturally aspirated 3.6-liter flat-six sending power to all four wheels through a 6-speed manual gearbox. It came factory-equipped with optional Aerokit front and rear spoilers, the Motor Sound Package, stainless-steel exhaust pipes, stainless-steel door sills with model logos, aluminum-look instrument duals, and 8-way power-operated seats in black supple leather. Recently treated to a major service and dry ice cleaning at a cost of over $20k, this Carrera 4S is now being offered for auction out of California with approximately 24k miles on the odometer.
Compared to standard 993 Carrera models, the 4S features wider fenders, rockers, and bumpers from the contemporary 911 Turbo. This example is finished in Arctic Silver Metallic and features the optional Aerokit Package with front and rear spoilers. It has been modified with aftermarket headlamps, clear corner lenses, and Turbo S-style front fog lights. Other equipment includes headlamp washers, an electric sunroof, power mirrors, optional stainless-steel exhaust pipes, red Porsche-branded brake calipers, and 18” 911 Turbo wheels with colored Porsche crest center caps. The seller indicates the underbody was cleaned with dry ice in April 2024 and the car rides on new Michelin Pilot Sport tires. The Black interior features optional 8-way power-operated front seats in supple leather with driver’s side lumbar support. Other options include stainless-steel door sills with model logos, aluminum-look instrument dials with chrome rings, and aluminum trim for the shifter and brake handle. The car is also equipped with a three-spoke leather steering wheel, automatic climate control, cruise control, a central locking system, aluminum Rennline pedal coves, and an updated Porsche Classic Communication Management (PCCM) head unit.
An air-cooled 3.6-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 282 HP to all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. The car features the optional Motor Sound Package which includes a revised airbox and mufflers for a more aggressive tone. The seller states a major service was completed in April 2024 and there are no outstanding maintenance items.

It looks like major suspension work(upgrades?) was done earlier this year including the struts. Can you provide any detail on the reason, setup, brand etc? Does in now have adjustable struts?
The description states that the rear quarter panel has high paint thickness readings. Do you have access to a paint meter?

i have nothing but the modern stuff, no clue about any of the air cool cars. But man this is gorgeous ..
Yes all the original parts that were upgraded do come with the car. Also there are 3 keys and 2 fobs included (only one was in the pictures)
Are the original parts (headlights, steering wheel, etc) included with the sale?
Correction, i bought the 88 here, the 993 on the other auction site. If you do happen to look at the 88 you can see the engine out and this was one of the main reasons why I purchased it.
I want, but I have the same car (bought it here). Honestly engine out service is the a great way to tackle several items in a more direct manner.
Hello All, As I am reading all the comments I see alot of different opinions and I dont disaggree with any, but I do know that this car has no issues and this service is documented in the picture if youd like to see exactly what was done. The car is PERFECT and rare as you all know, the owner is a very particular avid Porsche Collector and enthusiest. Thank you for the interest and viewings
@flatcrank. Nothing easy about turbo, lots of extra stuff that makes it difficult, but either way the seller should have a list of the work done. It's easy to spend 10k on valve/cam covers gaskets, plugs wires and other aged out plastic n rubber, but a buyer would want to know exactly what was done and not done.
@Guyc2 the turbo is almost easier to at least drop, in my opinion, though the "book" doesn't offer the process, it's quite possible to drop it enough for a clutch, to replace or discard the accumulator, the rigid oil return lines tend to get replaced with flexible lines and check valves. Definitely a bulletproof engine and trans in the turbo, but yes, Porsche has gone for the profits in the spare parts and Porsche Classic. : )
@DoveMtnMotors I mean there's no necessity, there's no "engine out" service schedule for a 993. It's not even a particularly complicated process (one guy, 3-4hrs) but it's just a matter of documenting why this particular car, with minor engine mods (exhaust) has had the engine out. It wouldn't impact my personal opinion on the value of this example so long as the work was documented and done correctly.

My 74k mile TT had engine dropped for leaks, and once u have it out , why not do this that and the other thing adds up. Porsche used a lot of plastic, so all the covers develop leaks, driven or not, and parts prices post covid are through the roof. My engine is bulletproof, but plastic valve covers/shrouds etc are not.
@flatcrank my 993 C4S also has just under 50k miles. Bone stock except for the silver trim rings on gauges. Seems possible that seals and gaskets on this car may have just dried out and failed due to lack of use.

You'd want to get a PPI (compression, leak down) and the service history documentation will report the general health of the drive train, suspension, brakes, electronics, hvac.
The seller should disclose any issues with the engine, transaxle or other major known cost.
This one has numerous "enthusiast" modifications.
Steering wheel, rings around instruments, audio head, pedals, exhaust, mufflers, (cats?), front inlets for brake cooling ducts, the ride height isn't factory … these are all things that enthusiasts owners did 20 years ago before the value of these as "unmolested" went sky high.
There's been extensive refurbishment.
I'd like to see before-after photos for all the restoration work.
25K miles in 27 years is nothing. My 993 has 50K miles and I rarely drive it more than a few adrenalin miles from time to time. I'd like to see the "stack of receipts and records" to chronicle the life of this car with its first owner.
