One of the rarest versions of the Porsche 993, the Carrera Targa was the last air-cooled 911 Targa model and was the first version to feature a sliding glass roof system. This 1996 example is finished in Midnight Blue Metallic over a Marble Grey and Midnight Blue leather interior and features a 6-speed manual transmission. Benefitting from over $10k in recent service including replacement of the engine wiring harness, spark plugs, belts, a valve cover gasket, transmission fluid, and more, this 993 Targa is now being offered for auction out of Michigan with approximately 68k miles showing on the odometer.
This 993 is finished in Midnight Blue Metallic and features a unique Targa top system with a sliding glass roof panel, an electric roller sunshade, and a glass wind deflector strip. Equipment includes projector headlamps with washers, integrated fog lights, a speed-activated rear spoiler, a fixed “basket handle” brake light spoiler, dual exhaust outlets, black Porsche-branded brake calipers, and factory 17” Targa two-piece alloy wheels. The seller notes the tires are older and some stone chips and light scratches can be seen around the exterior. The hood and driver’s side fender were refinished and blended into the driver’s door under prior ownership. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin features Marble Grey leather with matching carpets and contrasting Midnight Blue leather on the dashboard, steering wheel, and upper door panels. Accessories include 8-way power-adjustable seats, black floor mats with blue Porsche lettering, power windows and mirrors, automatic climate control, cruise control, a central locking system, and an aftermarket Alpine Bluetooth head unit. Recent service included the replacement of the front hood struts, the mirror adjuster switch, and a window switch.
An air-cooled 3.6-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 272 HP to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. Service in July 2024 included replacing the engine wiring harness, spark plugs, belts, fuel filter, a rubber fan shroud boot, the right lower valve cover gasket, cabin filter, air filter, an oil change, new transmission fluid, and a brake fluid flush.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, a toolkit, an air pump, and a spare tire.

Work was done by retired local certified Porsche mechanic of over 20 years. I do have receipts for the parts and services I did. I’ll work on the receipts for all the other stuff and post photos as I get them
Also any interested party may have the vehicle inspected
Thanks
Hi Seller, do you have detailed receipts showing the 10K work on the wiring harness and other things listed in picture 100?
Would like to see receipts, please. Thank you.

@Mpowell1 1 stock springs - factory height
2 I will upload a video of the targe top - we had no leaks when driven in the rain or during detail
Thanks
A couple of questions
1) Is this stock ride height or lowered?
2) any video of targa top working (opening/closing)? Any sealing issues
