Among the final generation of the C/K model line, this 1996 Chevrolet C1500 features a regular-cab short-bed pickup configuration presented in Emerald Green Metallic over light gray cloth upholstery. Powered by a Vortec 5.7-liter V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission, it also features 20” American Racing wheels, front disc brakes, a Belltech lowering kit, a drop-in bed liner, air conditioning, and a Delco CD/cassette stereo. Initially sold at Chevrolet of Morristown in Tennessee, this Silverado now shows approximately 155k miles and is being offered for auction by its seller out of California.
The exterior is finished in Emerald Green Metallic with silver pinstripes and chrome trim. Features include a lower front valance, rubber bumper and rocker moldings, a chrome rear step bumper, and window tint. The ride height has been lowered with a Belltech 707DP kit, and 20” American Racing wheels are fitted with Achilles Desert Hawk UHP tires from 2020. Inside, the cabin features light gray cloth upholstery with a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Amenities include air conditioning, a four-spoke steering wheel, a Delco cassette/CD player, a tilting steering column, and power windows, locks, and mirrors, along with black floor mats. Noted imperfections include cigarette burns on the seats and headliner, as well as a crack on the dashboard. The seller recommends charging the air conditioning system.
Power comes from a Vortec 5.7-liter V8, reportedly rebuilt in March 2014 at 121k miles, including a replacement crankshaft. The rear wheels are driven through a 4-speed automatic transmission, reconditioned by AAMCO in May 2014 with a replaced torque converter. A Belltech 707DP lowering kit provides a 4″ front and 6″ rear drop, incorporating a notched rear frame, front drop spindles, and revised struts and springs. Front discs and rear drums handle braking, although the seller notes out-of-round rear drums.

Is the paint original or has it had any work or respray?
@southbaysurf Hi just like to answer a few of your questions yes the right front tire slightly rubs when hitting a large dip but does not rub when turn left to right. I will add close up photos of cigarette burns on the seat, but the truck does not have any smell of Tabaco or any other odors. As for the A/C it is a r134a system from factory.

Usually with a 4/6 drop the wheel arch opening trim is removed for clearance. Do you have any issues with tires rubbing against wheel arch trim pieces when turning the front wheels? Do you have close up photos of the cigarette burns on the seats and does the cab smell of tobacco or have any other foul odors?
Seller notes AC needs a charge however a simple charge of the AC using R12 is no longer available in CA. If the update of the AC system has not been completed yet to accept R134 this is an expensive upgrade to consider for CA buyer.
