This post-facelift 1996 BMW E36 M3 Coupe is finished in Techno Violet Metallic over a Black leather interior and features a 5-speed manual transmission paired with its 3.2-liter S52 inline-six engine. The car is said to have originally been used as a Dinan demo vehicle by a BMW dealership in New Hampshire and has been upgraded with a Dinan Stage 2 supercharger kit, tune, and exhaust system. The car has also been modified with an Autosolutions short shift kit, BC Racing coilovers, an Italvolanti steering wheel, OEM Vader sport seats, and a Bluetooth stereo adapter. Benefitting from recent maintenance including new tires, a valve cover gasket, door lock actuators, and a clutch slave cylinder, this Dinan-supercharged E36 M3 is now being offered for unction out of Massachusetts.
The M3 can be distinguished from a standard E36 3-Series Coupe by its more aggressive front spoiler, side skirts, rear valence, and round aerodynamic mirrors. This example is finished in rare Techno Violet Metallic paint and rides on factory 17” Style 23 wheels dressed in new Continental ContiSport Contact tires. Equipment includes integrated fog lights, M3-logo side moldings, pop-out rear quarter windows, Dinan-branded exhaust tips, and a Dinan trunk badge. The seller notes the car was refinished in its original color several years ago and some minor chips are present around the exterior. A clean CARFAX report and detailed images, including photos from the website where the seller originally purchased the car, are provided in the gallery.
Appointed with black leather upholstery and wood trim, the cabin has been fitted with OEM Vader sport seats and a three-spoke Italvolanti steering wheel. Accessories include M3-branded door sills and floor mats, an M3-branded gauge cluster, an M shift knob, an Autosolutions short shift kit, dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, an onboard computer, and an AM/FM/cassette stereo with an aftermarket Bluetooth adapter. Signs of wear are noted on the seats and door panels, and the digital stereo display is damaged.
The 3.2-liter S52B32 inline-six engine has been equipped with a CARB-compliant Dinan Stage 2 supercharger kit, tune, and exhaust system that provides an advertised output of 340 HP and 307 lb.-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven through a 5-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The suspension has been modified with BC Racing coilovers, and a Dinan front strut tower brace is included in the sale. Recent service includes a new clutch slave cylinder, a valve cover gasket, power steering leak repair, and door lock actuators.

Welcome to the auction for this Techno Violet E36 M3!
This car provides an irreplaceable driving experience, and with the nostalgia of the 90s for those of us who used to idolize the M3 back in the day. It takes everything that you love about the E36 platform and then amps it up with the Dinan kit. The supercharger has all the torque you need and, unlike a turbo, there is no lag down low or drop off up top. Just consistent torque and whining noises all around. The car handles beautifully thanks to the BC Racing coilovers and refreshed power steering system. BMW enthusiasts will also recognize that the Autosolutions SSK is the best in the business. Shifts are crisp and quick, and heel-toeing is easy.
Condition wise, it's in great shape thanks to a line of prior enthusiast owners. It started its life at an enthusiast dealership in NH where it received the Dinan treatment that it retained all these years. It was owned in NH for many years and used as a summer car - We have a stack of receipts from that owner which shows very frequent maintenance and upkeep throughout their ownership. After that, it was shipped down to CA and AZ for the most recent owner who has also spared no expense in keeping this beauty in pristine shape.

The interior and exterior are in excellent shape for the mileage. The exterior was resprayed at some point, we don't know when but it's clear when you see the car up close. There is some wear on the front due to a lack of PPF and this being a real driver's car. Inside, the leather is cracked and was redyed at some point. The door cards are a little loose but not falling apart. The headliner does not sag or leak at all. All the buttons and electronic functions are working as needed.
Mechanically, the car is in excellent shape as well thanks to the regular service. There is slight seepage from the oil pan gasket, which is also normal for this age and mileage. Doesn't need addressing right now but something to keep an eye on. The AC may need servicing soon as well. We also fixed a loose positive terminal on the battery. The air intake filter looks dirty and may need replacement soon.
We hope the next owner can appreciate, enjoy, and care for this gem just like the previous owners have. It truly provides a driving experience that you cannot buy today. You just have to drive it to understand!
