The Porsche 964 Carrera RS N/GT, identified by the M003 Clubsport option code, was built as a race-ready homologation model for FIA Group N and GT competitions. While it shares the same seam-welded bodyshell and 3.6-liter M64/03 flat-six engine as the standard Carrera RS, the N/GT goes a step further with performance upgrades like an aluminum hood, thinner glass, a welded Matter roll cage, Recaro racing seats, and a fire suppression system. Its interior is stripped for weight reduction, and the suspension is stiffer and lowered for improved handling. This 1992 example is one of just 290 Carrera RS N/GT units produced, and only 38 believed to have left the factory in the distinctive Rubystone Red finish. It was delivered new in Germany and was campaigned at racetracks across Europe during the early 2000s including Hockenheim, Mugello, and Monza. Following ownership in Germany and Italy, the car was purchased by Naito Engineering of Japan in 2018. It was sold to the current owner in 2022 and imported to the U.S. where a service and pre-purchase inspection were recently completed at Porsche Salt Lake City. This Carrera RS N/GT is now being offered for auction out of Utah with approximately 57k kilometers or 35k miles showing on the odometer.

The N/GT retains the stiff seam-welded bodyshell of the standard Carrera RS and includes enhancements such as an aluminum hood, thinner glass, factory-rolled fenders, and front brake cooling ducts. This particular example is finished in striking Rubystone Red, complemented by silver 17” magnesium Cup wheels. The car rides on Yokohama AD08R tires from 2020. The seller adds that the car was likely refinished at some point under prior ownership based on paint meter readings and some minor cosmetic imperfections can be seen around the exterior. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The M003 Clubsport package strips the interior down to the essentials, removing carpeting, sound insulation, rear seats, power windows, air conditioning, and the stereo. It features a fully welded Matter roll cage, Nomex Recaro bucket seats, 6-point safety harnesses, a kill switch, a fire suppression system, and lightweight door panels. The seller notes a small blemish on the leather-wrapped steering wheel.

The Carrera RS N/GT is powered by a naturally aspirated 3.6-liter M64/03 flat-six engine with hand-matched pistons and cylinders, solid rubber mounts, a lightweight single-mass flywheel, and a recalibrated ECU. It delivers up to 260 HP and 240 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels via a close-ratio G50/10 5-speed manual transaxle, equipped with a racing clutch and a ZF asymmetric limited-slip differential. The suspension sits lower than the standard Carrera RS and features stiffer Bilstein shocks, larger adjustable anti-roll bars, and ball joints replacing rubber bushings. Braking is handled by four-piston calipers and cross-drilled rotors sourced from the 911 Turbo for enhanced stopping power. The seller states a service was recently completed at Porsche Salt Lake City along with a thorough inspection indicating a squeal from the brakes and an oil leak from the engine’s front covers and valve covers.

This sale will include a clean title.

The seller would like you to know: “Warehouse Motor Sales is proud to present this very special Porsche 964 RS NGT. On consignment with us from a collection & client we know very well.  A car with great heritage and a feature car in the documentary on Naito Engineering in Japan. The car, unfortunately, didn't come to the U.S. with much in terms of service records, however in the current ownership since 2022 it has been serviced each year and has just had a PPI at Porche Salt Lake City. Please see the photos for paint depth readings, it's safe to assume the paint is not original, but does look great!”

@WarehouseMotors Thank you very much for grabbing those photos. As I suspected, they raise a few more questions.

    1. Machined and restamped engine pad. This is pretty obvious from the photo, but can you provide a photo of the M64/03 stamping to verify that it’s a correct, but replaced, RS engine? The G50/10 gearbox stamping will also be beneficial if you can get the car on a lift.

    2. Reproduction option sticker and paint code decal, with obvious paint work inside front trunk. I see body numbers on rear decklid and bulkhead, but is there one on the hood? It should be located near the hinge/light provision and will read 3752.

    3. How extensive was the repaint? It’s very rare to see an NGT require an interior repaint, but with the amount of overspray on the Matter roll cage decal, it looks like at least a portion of the interior was repainted.

@Lovebuzz Agreed that this is one to drive and enjoy (actually they all are, shame on collectors who don't drive them but I digress.) I'd be a little nervous ripping it on the road with the front part of the rollcage installed. Non-helmeted heads and rollcage bars are a bad combo.

@prl yeah we don't have a super specialist paint meter but it certainly suggests a respray, in person it does look fantastic however and we don't see any other signs that it's had bad damage repair etc. When we get a lift spare we'll get it on for some underside shots

  • WarehouseMotors (seller) 1 week, 1 dayago

@Lovebuzz I've asked one of the team to grab those pics, will update when they send them to me. Negative on the seats, the car arrived to the US as it is

  • prl (registered bidder) 1 week, 1 dayago

These paint readings are wild. 60mil’s and most spots above 25mils! (Um to mil conversion). Were there any non readable areas on the quarter where it’s 60’ mils ? I assume some major body work. Any chance you can get this on a lift for under shots? Particularly behind the fender liners?

  • JP001 (registered bidder) 1 week, 2 daysago

I saw this RS at The Warehouse in February of this year while on a ski trip. I would love to have to have it!

  • Lovebuzz (registered bidder) 1 week, 3 daysago

@seller can you please post close up photos of the option sticker, body numbers stamped in front/rear lids, Matter decal on cage, engine/gearbox serial numbers, and VIN stamping in front trunk?

This looks like a nice RS for someone to rip on the road/track, as they were intended, but not for the collector looking for a perfect car. 2mm think on the rear quarter panel is a bit concerning, but I assume this has seen its fair share of track use based on the external cut off provision on the cowl, aux air vent inside, and extra lights near the gauges. Did the factory extinguishers get scraped too?

Do we know where the original seats may be? These are common new production Recaro pole positions with custom-made covers.

    @racedeck thanks, appreciate it!

I’ve seen this 964 RS in person and it’s stunning!

  • WarehouseMotors (seller) 1 week, 3 daysago

@speedfreak31 just posted a link in another comment but the tag didn't work, there's a link to the preview of the documentary. It's very cool!

  • WarehouseMotors (seller) 1 week, 3 daysago

Hey @speedfreak31 and anyone else interested in the Naito link, you can check out the trailer here (if the link posts) for the upcoming Type 7 documentary on Naito by Ben Bertucci: https://youtu.be/GDucR5b4rJk?si=GahjNNcEtg87e9pe

    @Local_luke thanks very much!

Beautiful car! Naito Engineering is legendary, do you by any chance have a link to the documentary? (If it is available online?) I wish I could bid on this but I already know it's out of my budget.

Seeing this car in person, I can confirm this is a incredible car. Such a rare and unique car you won’t see often. GLWA

  • WarehouseMotors (seller) 1 week, 4 daysago

Hey all, we wanted to bring your attention to the PPI we had done on the car prior to auction. An oil leak is noted, Porsche did say this slight oil weeping is not abnormal on a 964, and is not effecting the performance or ability to hold oil.

And regarding the brake squeal also noted, the brakes seem to operate all ok and pads were measured at 4-5mm, they do just squeak on use and we do not believe need changing imminently.

  • WarehouseMotors (seller) 1 week, 4 daysago

@ronwangu hey there, thanks for the comment. It's a fair question, we have no record at all of previous accident damage for this car. On inspection we don't see the signs of any either (aside from a repaint of course). We'll try to get the car on a lift this week and grab some additional photos of the underside too

  • ronwangu (registered bidder) 1 week, 4 daysago

As you mentioned, there's been a repaint. For such a low mileage car (albeit - it has been campaigned), why?
Any accidents that you are aware of? CARFAX doesn't always tell the whole story.

  • WarehouseMotors (seller) 1 week, 4 daysago

@Everett30 Thank you! It's a very special car indeed

  • Everett30 (registered bidder) 1 week, 4 daysago

Personally have seen this car in person. Incredible car! GLWS
