This European-spec (RoW) 1992 Porsche 964 Carrera 2 Cabriolet was originally delivered to the Austrian market. Finished in the distinctive shade of Rubystone Red over Classic Grey partial leather, this example features a magenta soft top, body-color 18” Speedline-style wheels, a 5-speed manual transmission, a Becker Mexico Pro CD stereo, and more. Showing approximately 139k kilometers or 86k miles on the odometer, this tastefully appointed C2 Cabriolet is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Oregon.
Arguably the most distinctive Porsche color of the era, Rubystone Red was offered on the 964 model between 1991 and 1992 and is regarded among the rarest and most sought-after Porsche colors of all time. This Carrera also features a magenta soft top and 18” Speedline-style wheels with silver outer lips and body-color centers. Other equipment includes fog lights, a speed-activated rear spoiler, and power-adjustable and heated side mirrors. The car rides on Continental SportContact 2 tires in the front and Falken Azenis tires in the rear. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Inside, the driver is greeted with Classic Grey partial leather upholstery. Amenities include power height-adjustable front seats, a leather-wrapped 4-spoke steering wheel, a Quartz analog clock, a cabin heater, power windows, and a Becker Mexico Pro CD stereo. All gauges, electronics, and accessories are confirmed to be in proper working order.
An air-cooled 3.6-liter M64 flat-six engine delivers up to 247 HP to the rear wheels through a 5-speed G50 manual transmission. The 964 generation introduced ABS brakes, power steering, and a coil spring and shock absorber suspension setup in place of traditional torsion bars. The seller notes a recent oil change was performed, and no outstanding maintenance items have been reported.
This sale will include a clean title and owner’s manuals.
The seller would like you to know: “One of the most beautiful 964 cabriolets we have had come through our shop. Imported and sourced by ourselves, we couldn't stop staring at this when it landed off the ship. Finished in amazing Rubystone red paintwork with a magenta convertible top, this car is a showstopper! To this day, still the only 964 cabriolet we have seen in the USA finished in this color.”

This color is very rare indeed. Find another one! Took two years waiting for mine to show up on the market. Every time I take it out people are snapping pictures. You don't want this car if you don't want to be noticed. Current price would not catch my attention and mine is a tip.

@PorschePhanatic Video uploaded
The listing has been updated to reflect that this is a 1992 example.

Caption calls it a 1992 but text states it is a 1991. Please clarify and thank you.
Additional content has been added to the gallery for this listing.
@gpmotors Any chance you could post a close-up photo showing the plugs?
@Bird1974 Please refer to the videos already listed in above.
@WGris Those a plastic plugs for the Tonneau Cover if you were to put the mounting points on the dash for it.
Hello @gpmotors can you please load driving videos, showing all gauges and shifting to all gears while driving and also a startup video showing the tailpipe and revving the engine. Thank you.
On the top of the dash there are two spots shown in photos 115 and 130 that look like tears or spots where the leather has come apart. Can you confirm or describe what is shown?
@Jgeis1 It had cup wheels from the factory
Yes I know those are aftermarket; was asking what wheels were on the car when it left the factory. Thanks for the clarification on the ac.
@Jgeis1 These are aftermarket wheels. The car from the factory does not have AC
What wheels came with it from the factory? How’s the ac? Thanks.
@WGris Valve covers and timing covers show minor seepage. Fairly typical for these engines as you may know.
@Giorgio1967 Yes this is a factory Rubystone car and has all original paint
Beautiful car! Any even “minor “ leaks, drips or seepage?
This is a Factory Rubystone car , Not a color change correct ?
Yo should correct the header to say 5 Speed
