The first true sport-focused variant of Porsche’s luxurious 928 grand touring car, the GT version was produced between 1989 and 1991 featuring a more powerful V8 engine than the standard 928 S4 as well as a standard 5-speed manual transaxle paired with a variable PSD limited-slip differential. Among only several hundred sold in the U.S., this 1991 example is finished in Grand Prix White over a Black leather interior and was acquired by the seller in 2024. Showing approximately 85k miles on the odometer, this rare Porsche 928 GT is now being offered for auction once again on PCARMARKET out of Connecticut.
This 928 GT is finished in Grand Prix White with matching body side moldings and a black polyurethane rear spoiler. Other equipment includes pop-up headlamps, an electric sunroof, a rear window wiper, dual exhaust tips, integrated fog lights, and 16" Design 90 wheels with colored Porsche crest center caps. The seller indicates new tires were mounted in 2023 and some cosmetic imperfections can be seen in the photo gallery. A clean CARFAX report is also provided for reference.
Inside, this 928 GT features Black leather upholstery with matching carpets and headliner. Accessories include power-operated front bucket seats, individual rear bucket seats, leather-wrapped four-spoke steering wheel, power windows and mirrors, automatic climate control, cruise control, rear seat air conditioning, a central locking system an analog clock, a digital odometer, and a Porsche CDR-210 stereo.
Power comes from a naturally aspirated 5.0-liter DOHC V8 engine rated at 326 HP and 317 lb.-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven through a 5-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. The seller indicates many common maintenance issues have been addressed and a detailed service history will accompany the sale.
This sale will include a clean title.

Hello,
Thank you for all the interest and bids!
The 928 is a great design and and great driving car! I have spent some time behind the wheel of this example and I have to say that it really is one of the nicest 938’s that I have driven.
The AC blows cold. The rear hatch release works, the rear wiper, the mirror controls work, the fans work, the seat controls work. The windshield washers work. The power steering was rebuilt. Sorry to hear about your car not having those things working, a lot of it comes down to care and maintenance, this car has had much service work done to it and it has been carefully stored and used. It shows that care and use and service are more critical than just low miles.
There is a ding behind the front wheel and a head of the door on the passenger side, it is hard to see. I took a photo. There is no rust around the rear windows. I did not change anything on the front fenders from the photos. Photo 17 must be the light because I can not see a difference in person.i believe the front nose piece was painted but otherwise I am not aware of paint work and the car shows very nicely, including the interior. Sorry I did not take down the engine pan.
Thank you again for your interest
Can you describe what paintwork the car has had. In picture 17, the color of the fender looks different than the rest of the right side. Thanks.
For me it's about the car and the color. I view the 928 as one of the best post-war auto designs ever.\Right up there with the Mercedes 300 SL from the 1950's and the 1953 Studebaker Commander coupe, and the 1979 Mercedes 350 SL Euro version. I have owned two of the three, but never could afford the 300SL.
I now have a 37k miles 1989 928, but it seems to have all of the common 928 problems of these cars. Rear hatch won't open, rear wiper not working, windshield spray restricted, power steering not working, seat and mirror controls not working, signals not cancelling. Temperature control and AC not working, all in just 37k miles of use and indoor storage in winters here in Alaska. Would appreciate the seller confirming that all such items are working on this car. If so I will bid higher.

Does the A/C work and blow cold air? Would you take picture of dent on front fender between tire and door?
Do you have pictures without bottom engine covers? Any rust showing around side rear windows? Has rust bubbles been address at front corners of hood?
I am not aware of the listing being pulled
looks like the previous listing was pulled?

Hi Jon,
Thanks for your inquiry. I have the cover, I failed to photograph it.
Thanks again

Is the rear cargo cover missing? It was in the car in the Ryan Friedman ad photos.

Nice clean example of a 928GT. Good luck with the sale.
Hi
Thank you for your interest. The car was purchased last year from Ryan Friedman Motorcars. It has been carefully stored in a climate controlled facility and it has been driven regularly to exercise the car. It is in the same very nice condition as shown in the photos and video. I took additional photos yesterday and made a walk around video as I thought the auction would start Monday. The timing belt service was done in 2018 and 84,340 miles. This is a very nice example that has had much maintenance work done to it. Here is a link to the full service history

Videos are almost a year old. I wonder about the current condition of the car.
Bid in the amount of $911
Did you purchase the vehicle from Ryan Friedman? If so how many miles has the car been driven since? Ryan has a great reputation, I would like to reach out to him to speak about this car. This is an interference engine, when was the last time that timing was addressed?
