In 1989, the 944 Turbo entered its final model year, and all examples were equipped with the more powerful M44/52 engine of the prior year’s Turbo S version. This example is finished in Black over a matching interior and features a rebuilt engine with a 2.8-liter displacement upgrade and a K27 turbocharger. The car has also been modified with Brembo "Big Red" brakes, braided stainless-steel brake lines, Fabcar lower control arms, upgraded sway bars, adjustable camber plates, 18” Speedline-style wheels, a GReddy electronic boost controller, a bolt-in roll bar, Recaro bucket seats, and a 2.5" stainless-steel exhaust system. Having been serviced with a new timing belt, water pump, head gasket, and clutch within the last several hundred miles, this 944 Turbo is now being offered for auction out of Pennsylvania.
This 951 is finished in Black with a contrasting Turbo script fender graphic, red brake calipers, and 18” Speedline-style wheels with colored Porsche crest center caps. Other equipment includes pop-up headlamps, integrated fog lights, a sunroof, a rear window wiper, a rear spoiler, a body-colored lower rear valence, and an oval exhaust outlet. The seller indicates the car was previously refinished and the wheels are clad in Continental ExtremeContact tires dated from 2022 and 2023. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The black interior has been modified with cloth Recaro bucket seats, a bolt-in AutoPower roll bar, a GReddy electronic boost controller, a digital intercooler gauge, an AutoMeter air/fuel ratio gauge, and a GReddy turbocharger boost gauge integrated into the driver’s side air vent. Other accessories include a four-spoke leather steering wheel, power windows, air conditioning, cruise control, and an aftermarket Eclipse stereo. A pair of G-Force racing harnesses is included. The seller notes the airbag warning light is on as the steering wheel was previously replaced and the light was not reset.
The M44/52 inline-four engine was rebuilt, balanced, and blueprinted by C&G Performance 86k miles ago including a 2.8-liter displacement upgrade with 9.0:1 Mahle pistons, Carrillo rods, and a 3.0 crankshaft. The engine build also features a ported cylinder head and intake manifold, a reground cam, a baffled oil pan, a supplemental oil cooler, an Authority mass airflow sensor, a lightened flywheel, MSD ignition, an electronically-controlled billet wastegate, an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, and a 2.5" stainless-steel exhaust system. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transaxle. Upgraded Brembo "Big Red" brakes have been installed along with a brake cooling kit, braided stainless-steel brake lines, and a rear brake bias proportioning valve. The suspension also features Fabcar lower control arms, a camber truss, progressive rate springs, a hollow 30mm front sway bar, an adjustable 22mm rear sway bar, hollow torsion bars, adjustable camber plates, and aftermarket bushings. The seller states a new Lindsey Racing clutch was installed within the last 100 miles and the timing belt, water pump, and head gasket were replaced within the last 500 miles.
This sale will include owner’s manuals and a clean title.

@Maxmotive that's great, but tell me about shocks/dampers
@Upshift4 The clutch has been rebuilt with approximately 100 miles on it.
@jbelcredi There has been no work done to the transmission. The transmission shifts smooth. There is no video of the car on the track.
info on shocks?
Has any work been done to the transmission, it looks a little wet and dirty? How is the shifting, synchros, gears?
Have you got any video of the car on track/road?
Bid in the amount of $16,251
@Looking4pcar Sorry for the late reply. I am on the road right now and my service is poor.
Yes it has limited slip differential.
Limited slip differential?
I have a 3.0 '86 951 originally built by Powerhaus and David Raines in Scottsdale. Doing a ground up resto. Will be keeping a close eye on where this goes. GLWA!!
Bid in the amount of $15,911
@tfrost Yes it was on the track more but definitely not abused. If it is treated and kept up with the maintenance that it has, it surely will have many more miles of enjoyment.
Thank you for your interest.
Seller, can you speak to the usage of the car? Mostly a track car, I assume? Just wondering how much life in the engine and running gear with 86K miles since original rebuild, although it sounds like you've done important maintenance along the way. Thanks! GLWA
