Having been in production since 1975, the Porsche 930 entered its final model year in 1989 and gained a refined 5-speed G50 manual transaxle making for one of the most sought-after variants. This 911 Turbo Coupe is one of 857 Rest-of-World (RoW) examples produced during the final model year and was delivered new to Japan with equipment for the German market. It was factory-finished in Slate Grey Metallic over Grey leather upholstery and features optional heated Sport Seats, a limited-slip differential, a short-shift gear lever, an electric sunroof, and velour carpeting in the luggage compartment. The car remained in Japan before being imported to the U.S. in 2022 and purchased by its current owner in Canada later that year. Having since undergone mechanical service, professional detailing, and dry ice cleaning, this rare final-year 930 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of British Columbia with just over 50k kilometers (31k miles) on the odometer.
The 930 is characterized by its wide fenders and iconic Tea Tray rear spoiler. This example is finished in Slate Grey Metallic (Q9) with a 930S-style front spoiler and boxed rockers. Other equipment includes European-market lights and bumperettes, integrated front fog lights, an electric sunroof, a rear window wiper, a twin-tipped exhaust outlet, and black rear fender stone guards. The car rides on factory 16” Fuchs forged alloy wheels dressed in Bridgestone S-02 tires showing approximately 7mm tread depth. The seller notes that the car was refinished in its original color under prior ownership and the exterior remains in excellent overall condition with professional detailing completed in April 2023. The car’s undercarriage was also cleaned with dry ice blasting in November 2022. Additional images are provided in the gallery.
The cabin is appointed with Grey leather upholstery including matching carpets and optional heated electric Sport Seats. Other accessories include a leather-wrapped four-spoke steering wheel, an optional shortened gear shift lever, power windows, a central locking system, air conditioning, and a Blaupunkt Bremen SQR 46 DAB radio.
Originally rated at 300 HP, the European-spec turbocharged and intercooled 3.3-liter flat-six engine sends power to the rear wheels through a 5-speed G50 manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. The seller notes that the heater control valves and crossover oil pipe were replaced in September 2022 and a new battery was fitted in January 2024.
This sale will include a toolkit, a spare tire, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “Very clean & low mileage RoW 930 Turbo.”

Thank you all for your bids, unfortunately we came up short. We will be in contact with the high bidders. Thanks again
Surprised this one didn't get more interest... Leak down and redone paint meters would help on DealTank. Very well presented and sharp looking 930. Crazy low mileage and highly desired 5sp. Were the front spoiler and rockers installed at the factory?

@crispycalamari , Unfortunately we dont have any records of the repaint from the previous owners.
The paint work is excellect & looks amazing. I will redo the paint readings & to reconfirm thickness.
Thanks for your interest.
That is some very thick paint. Looks like they just sprayed right over the original paint. Any info on that?
@Cozad1955 The compression readinga were 145 psi according to the previous owners listing comments. Unfortunately we dont have a copy of the work order but will try & obtain from the previous owner.
Thanks again for your questions & interest
Could you post the compression readings?
@Cozad1955 , Thanks for your interest
Unfortunately there are no service records from the previous owners in Japan.
From the prvious owner In May 2022, James Millar replaced the spark plugs, fuel filter, and air filter, along with performing an oil change. A compression test was also carried out, and the muffler was recently replaced.
Do you have service records on the car?
Happy Friday PCARMARKET Bidders & Watchers. Just downloaded a walk around video of this amazing 911 Turbo. Enjoy & have a great weekend
@KASA Once payment is made the Customs Brokerage approval usually take 48 - 72 hours. The delays are usually from arranging pick up & shipping accross the border. Delivery to California from Blaine is usually takes a week.
@AWClassicGarage Appreciate the prompt response! I’m in CA, but do title some of my cars in Montana. How long does the process take (ultimately, from the time I wire how long will it take to have the car in CA)? Thanks!
@Joejoe69 , @Nonissan ,@ntudisco
Thank you for your bids , much appreciated
@KASA - Where are you located? The import process is very easy & we use a Customs Broker to assist with the Customs & Brokerage process along with a bonded transport company to take the vehicle across the border & deliver to your door. We can refer you our preferred vendors. As the vehicle was previously Titled in Montanna , I see no issues getting it registered in your State. The Brokerage fees is approx $1000 , Duty is approx 2.5 % , we are very close to the Blaine WA boder & can ship there for $500. Shipping cost to address is TBC plus your applicable State taxs. Hope that helps answer y your questions. Thanks for your interest.
Please help me understand the costs and process required to import the car back into the US. Any company you recommend speaking with? Thank you!

@Mrbognar No worries, just wanted to make a mention of it.
@Footnfan Maybe not! Oops! Sorry guys. PCAR, feel free to remove. My apologies everyone. *egg on face*
@Mrbognar Are you sure that link is for the same car? A lot of differences, including VIN.
As a bright eyed bushy tailed youngster with a small savings for a vintage model, I love reading the comments as I learn a ton from the more seasoned veterans in this auction site.
There was a great discussion last time this car went up for bid. Looking forward to following the auction this go around! Good luck to the fortunate folks out there with their eyes on this beauty. I have many more pennys to pinch, but I’ll see you soon!
