Having been in production since 1975, the Porsche 930 entered its final model year in 1989 and gained a refined 5-speed G50 manual transaxle making for one of the most sought-after variants. This 911 Turbo Coupe is one of 857 Rest-of-World (RoW) examples produced during the final model year and was delivered new to Japan with equipment for the German market. It was factory-finished in Slate Grey Metallic over Grey leather upholstery and features optional heated Sport Seats, a limited-slip differential, a short-shift gear lever, an electric sunroof, and velour carpeting in the luggage compartment. This rare final-year 930 remained in Japan before being imported to the U.S. in 2022, where it was later purchased by its current owner in Canada later that same year. Since then, it has undergone mechanical servicing, professional detailing, and dry ice cleaning. Available once again due to the initial buyer's failure to complete the sale, this 930 is now being offered for auction out of British Columbia with just over 50k kilometers (31k miles) on the odometer.
The 930 is characterized by its wide fenders and iconic Tea Tray rear spoiler. This example is finished in Slate Grey Metallic (Q9) with a 930S-style front spoiler and boxed rockers. Other equipment includes European-market lights and bumperettes, integrated front fog lights, an electric sunroof, a rear window wiper, a twin-tipped exhaust outlet, and black rear fender stone guards. The car rides on factory 16” Fuchs forged alloy wheels dressed in Bridgestone S-02 tires showing approximately 7mm tread depth. The seller notes that the car was refinished in its original color under prior ownership and the exterior remains in excellent overall condition with professional detailing completed in April 2023. The car’s undercarriage was also cleaned with dry ice blasting in November 2022. Additionally, the left front fog light was replaced in August 2024. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The cabin is appointed with Grey leather upholstery including matching carpets and optional heated electric Sport Seats. Other accessories include a leather-wrapped four-spoke steering wheel, an optional shortened gear shift lever, power windows, a central locking system, air conditioning, and a Blaupunkt Bremen SQR 46 DAB radio.
Originally rated at 300 HP, the European-spec turbocharged and intercooled 3.3-liter flat-six engine sends power to the rear wheels through a 5-speed G50 manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. The seller highlights the following service items:
This sale will include a toolkit, a spare tire, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “Very clean & low mileage RoW 930 Turbo.”

@AWClassicGarage I cant share a pic but the auction sheet with the diagram has the * next to the mileage.
That means that the auction house found some discrepancy.
The XX on the hood and the Quarter panel on that same sheet (overview drawing to the right) indicates that those panels were replaced.
It should also be stated that the car doesn’t have an airbag so the car VX says it’s ok - not that it didn’t go off.

I believe the box rockers were referred to as the XA8 option. I have them also along with the 930S front spoiler. Is there a oil cooler up front in the center of spoiler?
Bid in the amount of $111,250
@eclectionauto Thank you for comments .
Can you please share the picture # reference to the XX on the 1/4 panel & asterix for mileage roll back ?
Auction Report reads No Problem ?
Bid in the amount of $111,000
Bid in the amount of $105,250
Sorry for the multiple posts.
The “XX” on the quarter panel indicate that it was replaced as well - so not a minor incident.
It’s a beautiful car - just some important info the future owner will likely want to know.
Bid in the amount of $105,000
Can you take pics of the inner fender?
A car normally won’t get an R grade in a small fender bender, it’s reserved for cars that have had structural damage.
On Porsches there is usually repair marks inside the inner fender that gives this away.
Nice car but it’s worth mentioning that the CarVX shows the car has been in a significant accident and the asterisk next the mileage on the auction sheet indicates that the odometer was rolled back.
There were a few questions on a Japan Carfax & I was able to locate the report & have added the Japan Carfax report to the Photo Library. Looks like a minor collision in Jan 2022 , Air Bags were OK. Can only assume this is when some of the paint work was done. We have also packaged all the current & previuous Service history into a binder for the new owner. Good Luck & Happy Bidding

@AWClassicGarage thank you for the response and the additional comments in the listing.
This car is the best year and best colour and you have clearly been a good steward.
I’m wondering if the previous seller included a Car Vx in the package (Japanese Car fax). The paint readings are quite thick in some areas which likely indicate bodywork. I realize this was not under your ownership but important to understand.
Any info would help (particularly Car Vx). Recently stumbled on this post and sorry for the late questions on an outstanding car.
Collector cars
Better check as you will have to pay a 25% tariff - collector card are NOT excluded.
Hello PCARMARKET Bidders & welcome to the last few hours of the auction.
@Jeffreson , we dont have a Japan Carfax , but can look into obtaining one & will try & have it before the auction closes.
@MMcc , we do not have the original front spoiler & will try & confim the install of the rockers , stay tuned
@drbruno , unfortunately limited service records & info on paint & Carfax , I have posted the previous owners summary comments on the vehicle history & all the extensive work we performed in preparation for resale.
Please bid with confidence as although there is limited previous history the low mileage & condition is immaculate. Happy bidding & Goodluck everyone.

Do you have a Car VX from the cars time in Japan?
@awclassicgarage to the previous question, do you have the original front spoiler? Also how were the rockers boxed? Specifically are the additions steel? Welded on?
Bid in the amount of $100,500
Hello,
Beautiful car. Some questions:
1. Do you have original front spoiler?
2. Original rockers? What do you mean that they were ‘boxed in’?
3. Service records?
4. Why was car repainted?
5. Any accidents/damage history?
I hit the button by mistake I have no comment at all sorry

Hello PCARMARKET viewers & bidders. Hope everyone is having a great weekend.
@bulletproofauto the previous buyer had a PPI completed where it was noted the engine was not running perfectly & the engine & hood seals were deteriorating. The buyer decided to back out of the sale due to the PPI. We have since performed an engine out service where we replaced the hood insulation & body seal. We also repaired a fuel & vacuum hose leak & replaced the cap & rotor. The engine out pictures are in the photo library for your reference.
@Stickyblackice , Thanks for the comments & yes unfortunately timing is not great & will confirm with our Customs Broker but hopefully we will still find a home for this beautiful Porsche Turbo.
Happy Bidding
@AWClassicGarage You may want to check with your broker, just to confirm. Ironically, I’m buying a 930 out of Canada right now!. My sales guy called me last week in a panic saying if. It crosses the border after Tuesday, it would be subject to 25% tariff. Customs papers are all done and have car is on a truck today. I was shocked to hear this, but in case it is true I did not risk it and I expedited everything. Btw, if you want the dealer/ broker, lmk and I can provide.GLWA, stunning example
@seller why did the previous buyer fail to complete the sale?
Hello PCARMARKET Bidders & welcome to Day 3.
@RCain I have added pictures of the engine & transmission numbers & unfortunately I see the Porsche Certificate of authenticity is actually a Vin, Production & options certificate that doesnt show the engine & trans numbers. The engine & transmission look original from when we performed the Re & Re.
Thank you for your questions & interest. We are available all weekend to answer any further questions.
Happy Bidding

Hello Bidders & welcome to Day 2.
Thank you for your bid @pierrenyc
@garagemonster I have uploaded close up pictures of the paint from different angles.
There a couple of small chips noted in the pictures for your reference.
As the Tarriff situation is still uncertain on Classic Cars hopefully this beauty will be unaffected.

Awesome car , seller how is the actual close up quality of the paintwork in terms of chips, fisheye and any defects as photos are usually hard to see this stuff.
@-Ex964turbo- My first thought as well, thanks for asking!
Hello PCARMARKET viewes & registered bidders. We are happy to offer this amazing 1989 Porsche 911 Turbo for sale located in Richmond BC.
@Ex964turbo & @buzzmeo , We can certainly assist with exporting to the USA or anywhere in the world.
Hopefully Tarrifs will not affect Classic German built vehicles that are over 25 yrs old.
The export process is very straight forward with The Brokerage fees of approx $500 - $1000 , Duty is approx
2.5 % calculated from the purchase price. We would refer you to one of our preferred Customs Broker who will take care of Customs Filing for admissability to the US . We very close to the Blaine WA boder & can also assist with enclosed shipping also with our preferred carriers.
@Rcain , Yes this is an original numbers matching Turbo & will try & confirm, the Porsche production specifications certificate is in the photos for your reference.
Happy Bidding & availbale to answer any further questions.
Is this going to be hung up with the tariffs, some vintage cars have been caught coming into Canada?
Bid in the amount of $9,300
I'm assuming this is a numbers matching car. Can you confirm?
What a gorgeous car! If it comes back to the US do you have guidance on import and transoort costs?
