This 1989 Mercedes-Benz 560 SEC was purchased new by an older woman from Lugano Switzerland and has remained under her care ever since. It comes finished in Astral Silver Metallic over a Grey leather interior and is factory-equipped with a 5.5-liter V8, the most powerful engine available. Accompanied by a stamped dealer service book, this beautifully preserved 560 SEC is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Switzerland showing just under 20k kilometers or 12k miles on the odometer.
This C126 is a second-series model, distinguishable from its predecessor by smoother bumpers and side moldings, a deeper front bumper, and newer 15” Gullydeckelfelge alloy wheels. The car wears its original paint color of Astral Silver Metallic (735U) with dark lower bodywork and chrome trim. Equipment includes heat-insulating glass, headlight wipers, front fog lamps, dual exhaust tips, a retractable antenna, and an electrically operated sunroof. The seller describes the car to have been kept in outstanding overall condition, detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The cabin is trimmed in Grey leather (268) with matching carpets and burled wood veneers. Features include heated and power-adjustable front seats with memory, automatic climate control, a digital clock, power-adjustable mirrors, and a sound system with an original Becker Mexico cassette stereo.
A fuel-injected 5.5-liter V8 engine sends up to 275 HP to the rear wheels through a 4-speed automatic transmission featuring Standard and Economy driving modes. This example also comes with the Acceleration Slip Regulation (ASR) system, an option offered exclusively on European models from 1989-1991. The original Mercedes-Benz service booklet shows a 20,000-kilometer service stamp in September 2021.
This sale will include the original owner’s books, toolkit, and a clean title.

Do you have a shipping service that you have used or prefer to ship to the United States . Say savanna ga. If you have a contact number that would be great. Thanks
@Starkermann Yes sure we can organise a so called Swiss delivery. We can provide you with a registration for up to 11 months. That way you can enjoy the car in Europe prior to shipping it to the US for example.
@tspeedster Will be either Michelin or Good year

Seller: Can you provide us with a short term tourist license plate and registration so that we might pick up the car from Switzerland and drive it in Germany prior to making private arrangements for exporting it back to our home in USA?

@Porschegstaad Thank you for the answers. Can you tell us what kind of tires you are replacing the 10 year old's with? Brand? Thanks
@tspeedster Hello, The control panel is what is called a "Standheizung" or stationary heating. It was an option at the time on many models from MB. It allows you to program a specific time when you want the heating to activate. That way on a cold morning your car is already warm for your journey to work :). Yes we have since put fuel ahahah. The tires are over 10 years old so we are replacing the tires before its departure. Two keys are available and the original Mercedes-benz data card as well which acts as a window sticker in Switzerland.
@AK9eleven Hello, thanks for the message. No the process is fairly straightforward and takes about 30 days by ship container. The import duties in the US are very low and the car is exempted from federalisation as its older than 25 years old.

What is the control panel in front of the floor shifter? Also, don't mean to be nit picky, the date code on the tires please? Does it need new tires before driving? If this leaves Switzerland may want to put a few liters of fuel in it :) How many keys? Window sticker available? Beautiful car!
Is the process of bringing the car from Europe to USA difficult ? Expensive ? Time consuming ? What’s exactly involved ? Thanks
