This pre-Defender 1989 Land Rover 90 was originally sold in Italy and has been recently imported and modified with off-road accessories including a roof rack and storage box, side steps, a front brush guard, an air intake snorkel, additional lights, tow straps, Cooper Discoverer STT tires, and more. It comes finished in Arles Blue and is equipped with a 2.5-liter turbodiesel engine paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. Accompanied by an Automotoclub Storico Italiano (ASI) certification, this Land Rover 90 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida while showing approximately 83k kilometers on the odometer.
This Land Rover is finished in Arles Blue with a contrasting white roof and features gray stripe “90” logo decals and Camel Trophy Graphics as well as black fender flares, mud flaps, red OMP tow straps, tubular steel side steps, and black diamond plating on the hood. Other additions include a black front brush guard, a rear step, a Camel-logo spare wheel cover, a snorkel, and an axe and shovel mounted on the hood along with a roof rack fitted with spotlights, a storage box, a rear ladder, and traction boards. The truck rides on black wheels with Cooper Discoverer STT off-road tires. The seller describes the exterior to be in excellent overall condition, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin features three front seats trimmed in grey upholstery along with matching door panels. The cargo compartment is separated by a black steel cage and includes inward-facing bench seats. Accessories include manual window cranks, black rubber floor mats, a black four-spoke steering wheel, a quartz clock, fresh air vents, and an aftermarket Alpine stereo. All gauges and accessories are said to be fully functional.
Power comes from a 2.5-liter turbodiesel inline-four engine that drives all four wheels by way of a 5-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The seller states the engine and transmission oil were checked within the last 500 miles and there are no outstanding maintenance items at this time.
This sale will include some documentation and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “You won’t find any original 50k-mile Defender 90 like this one with its unique character, and the interior feels so fresh and new.”

If you don’t mind my asking, how well does it take highway speeds, and can it handle a couple of hour drive? Always heard wildly different anecdotes about the 2.5tdi in 90s, so curious how this one might be!
