Available for auction is this 1988 Porsche 928 S4 finished in metallic black over a Champagne Beige interior. Launched for the 1987 model year, the 928 S4 brought significant changes both mechanically and cosmetically to Porsche's V8-powered grand tourer. This 1988 European-specification example was originally delivered in Switzerland and remained with its original owner until it was acquired by the seller in 2020 from Lake Como Italy. It came factory equipped with an electric sliding sunroof, a limited-slip differential, and a 4-speed automatic transaxle. Service records are said to have been kept with the car from new, and an impressive amount of maintenance is said to have been carried out through the years including timing belt and tensioners, fuel injectors, various lines and hoses, suspension bushings, and much more. Having been fully detailed and ceramic coated in preparation for this sale, this 928 S4 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Texas while showing approximately 101k kilometers (63k miles) on its odometer.
Compared to earlier versions, the updated 928 S4 featured a more rounded aerodynamic nose, side skirts, and a black polyurethane rear wing. This example comes finished in metallic black with matching body side moldings and European specification corner lamps. The taillight and side markers have been slightly tinted and all exterior bulbs have been upgraded to LEDs including the headlights. The seller notes that the car was originally Black (700) but was refinished in its current shade of metallic black approximately six years ago, and was recently detailed and ceramic coated. Yellow finished calipers show through a set of black-finished 17” Boxster Twist wheels with yellow lips. The wheels are dressed in a set of Michelin tires from 2005 and the original 16” ''Manhole Cover” wheels are said to be included as well.
The cabin is appointed with Champagne Beige leather with black carpets and includes an optional electric sunroof, power-adjustable front seats, automatic climate control, power windows, and cruise control. Removable tints have been applied to all windows and an upgraded Sony CD head unit has been installed. The seller confirms that all gauges, electronics, and accessories remain functional with the exception of the fuel gauge.
The 928 S4 features a 5.0-liter V8 with dual overhead camshafts and four valves per cylinder. Up to 320 HP and 317 lb.-ft of torque are sent to the rear wheels through a 4-speed automatic transaxle and an optional limited-slip differential. The seller states that regular service has been carried out from new and notable items include a new timing belt and tensioners, ignition coil, ignition wires, fuel injectors and seals, steering rack, power steering hoses, lines, and reservoir, steel brake lines, rear shift linkage bushings, motor mounts, and front and rear shocks.
This sale will include the owner's literature, a toolkit, original wheels, and a clean title.

@1991928gt @1991928gt yes it was repaint in Porsche Original Metallic Black, all electrical works as it should except for the fuel gage that just stop working after she arrived from EU and I'm on a line with a very good 928 local mechanic to get fix, as he told me should be an easy fix; the AC system has been updated to r134a few months ago and is blowing cold; tests for leak down has not being done I drove her from Como Lake (Italy) to Amsterdam (2 days drive) just before shipped over to make sure there was nothing wrong or anything could surprise me and was just a solid bullet; the entire leather are in mint condition Will upload pictures from the rear panels later today .Thanks

Hello everyone and thank you for checking this beautiful machine.
I purchased this car in 2020 from original owner, a gentleman at the time with 95 years old, he has a collection of cars and due to his health condition start selling some of them , Car doesn’t need absolute anything; it is in prime condition, everything that ever need was done on time. I have lots o documents for the past 33 years for all work done included but not limited to daily log reports
These were special cars that are destined to go up in value and will remain timeless icons
Good luck
was this a repaint? Any electrical gremlins? Was the a/c converted to r134a? also any compression, leak down, crank shaft walk test results? can we see a picture of the rear leather quarter panels-are they warped?
