One of 591 Cabriolet versions produced for the U.S. during the 1988 model year, this 911 Turbo came factory finished in Grand Prix White over a Marine Blue interior and was delivered new to Gullo-Haas Imports of Houston, Texas. It features optional painted Fuchs wheels and a limited-slip differential and has been upgraded with an Andial intercooler and boost gauge. Showing approximately 40k miles on the odometer, this 930 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New York.
The Turbo-specific bodywork is characterized by wide fenders, a Tea Tray rear spoiler, and black stone guard decals on the rear quarters. This 930 is finished in Grand Prix White with a blue power-operated cabriolet top and 16” Fuchs wheels with optional painted centers. Other features include a periscope-style third brake light, dual exhaust outlets, power-operated mirrors, headlight washers, and a front valance with a spoiler and integrated fog lights. An imperfection is depicted on the cabriolet top above the passenger-side window, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is trimmed in Marine Blue upholstery including matching carpets and power-operated leather seats with adjustable driver’s lumbar support. Other factory equipment includes an optional elevated steering wheel hub, automatic heating control, air conditioning, power windows, and an alarm system. An aftermarket Andial boost gauge has been installed in place of the clock and an aftermarket Alpine cassette stereo is paired with upgraded speakers in the doors.
Rated at 282 HP and 289 lb.-ft of torque, the air-cooled 3.3-liter turbocharged flat-six engine sends power to the rear wheels through a 4-speed manual transmission and an optional limited-slip differential. An upgraded Andial Racing intercooler has been installed and can be seen in the gallery along with images of the undercarriage. The seller notes a slight oil leak is present and will be addressed prior to the sale.
This sale will include the original owner’s manuals, a toolkit, and a clean title.

@chizchiz Thank you for your offer . We are getting closer. Maybe we can come with some kind of meeting of the minds.
Offer in the amount of $95,000
@Daytripper11 $92,500 was a fair price in the presented condition with the outstanding questions. Hopefully a deal can be worked out...$119k is a pipedream at this point.

Just follwing up in the last few minutes to the outstanding questions? Any service records? Any confirmation of paint readings? Any video of start up and turbo working? Any compression test? Has the oil leak been addressed? I'd love to bid on this car but there are too many open questions that I think are going to leave you well short of any reserve.
Porsche should have bought all their 930 intercoolers from Andial and binned theirs

Hi
Can you please confirm that the steeringwheel is with elavated hube? I may dout becouse this type never came as elevated. And in 1988 there was already the next design until 1989. Thanks.
Bid in the amount of $42,000
This one checks every box! Blue interior over grand pix white and has in my option the best steering wheel Porsche ever created. GLWA! She’s a beauty!
Can you also comment of there are any service records that accompany the car? Thanks again!
@Farmhouse27 thanks for the response! Just to be clear, are you saying that paint meter reading have been done but you just don’t have any pictures/records of them? Just trying to confirm how we know the paint is all original. Thanks, looks like a gem.
@JohnBlackyoldtimer not sure if we can get a video of the turbo before the auction ends. I road tested the car and did not hear any abnormal noises from the gearbox or the engine. The gearbox shits smoothly and clutch operation feels good too. The car gets on boost nicely and pulls strong. Brake pedal feels great. Not sure exactly how much brake pad and disc remains. Will try and get answers on Tuesday. I need to check with the sho to see if we can get it in for the compression test before the auction ends. With the holiday it might be tough because they are closed until Tuesday. The car does have original paint with no signs of any paintwork. Have a happy new year.
@chizchiz the paint is original on the car. No paintwork was found. I don’t have any paint meter readings. Not sure if we can do before the auction ends as it is a holiday weekend. Yes A/C is blowing cold. Same in regards to the top. Will try and post a clip on Tuesday. The shop is closed until Tuesday. Thanks and have a happy new year!
Hi, can you make another video with the turbocharger working? Are there any noises coming from the gearbox? How good are the brake discs and brake pads, is only one cylinder leaking or are there several? Is that still the original paint on the vehicle and are there repaired areas? Does the transmission shift smoothly and silently? It would be great if you could do an exhaust gas test and take a photo of the values? Was there a compression test of all 6 cylinders and could you do one?
A lot of questions, but all of them would be worth a surcharge if the values were good. Happy and healthy New Year everyone.
Has there been any paintwork, do you have paint meter readings? Does the A/C blow cold? Can you post a video of the top operation?
Thanks!
@Wikki1 we had a chance to put the car up on the lift today. It looks like the oil cooler or O-rings are starting to leak along with the driver side valve cover.
Bid in the amount of $40,000
@Wikki1 the car is scheduled to come into the shop tomorrow. Will have an update once we diagnose the leak. Thanks.
What is the situation with the oil leak?
Bid in the amount of $20,000
@JohnBlackyoldtimer no rust on the underside The engine has not been resealed. The steering wheel is the optional 3 spoke factory wheel. Thanks
Bid in the amount of $5,000
Hello, is there rust on the vehicle and is the engine sealed? Then I believe that the steering wheel does not fit the year of manufacture 1988. Has it been replaced and is the original steering wheel still available?
