Up for auction is beautifully preserved 1987 Porsche 924 S presented in Guards Red over a black vinyl interior. Having been carefully maintained and sparingly driven from new, this 924 S has undergone a comprehensive mechanical service including new engine seals, mounts, belts and more. Showing approximately 80k miles on the odometer, this 1987 example is now being offered for auction in highly-original condition by its seller in Florida.
The original Guards Red finish is shown to be in excellent condition with only minor road going wear. Detailed images of the vehicle are available in the photo gallery. This 924 S rides on factory equipped “phone dial” wheels which are wrapped in Cooper Touring tires exhibiting ample tread life.
Inside, the cabin is upholstered in Black vinyl with Porsche script seats. The seller notes the interior to be in exceptional condition with only a few minor cracks present on the dashboard. Factory features include an antenna, power windows, power mirrors and intermittent wipers. The seller confirms that the original factory radio and speakers are in good working order and the A/C blows ice-cold. All gauges, electrical components and accessories are reported to be fully functional.
Power comes from the original 2.5L inline 4-cylinder engine rated at 150 HP and 142 lb-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven by way of a 5-speed transaxle with a near perfect 50/50 weight distribution making it a competent performer in the corners. A Dansk stainless steel cat-back exhaust system has been installed making for a more pronounced engine note. Upon purchasing the car in July of 2014, the seller commissioned a comprehensive mechanical service which included the following items and replacements parts.
Having undergone a recent fluid and filter change, this 924 S stands in excellent driving condition.
The sale of this 924 S will include two sets keys, original books, a toolkit, spare tire and service records from new. A brand new dash cap will also be included in-sale along with a spare rear hatch seal. If you are in the market for a truly well-presented front-engine Porsche, this superb 1987 924 S makes the perfect choice.

Thanks for your response. I’m a newbie to this site. Is it possible to have a conversation via phone or email?
Thanks.
@Roballen85044 YES it is!!! And just a week ago a new updated power steering pump to reservoir hose was installed by me . I have taken great pride owning and preserving this 924S.
Hello! Still available?
@maybeillbuyit Hi there, thx for pointing that out. I see it. I will reroute and take a new pic, plus a pic of the new updated, reservoir to pump hose. Don't be tempted! Just buy it! Lol! Thanks again!
JBoxerGT2, Its a lovely car and I'm tempted. i just want to point out something I've seen and heard of before. the coil to dizzy cap wire is resting on the popup headlight linkage. It looks like it has a little nick in it. It should be positioned a little differently I believe, not exactly sure how. great car.

Hello every one, I just wanted to let everyone know that as of today I have installed a new power steering hose . The one that goes from the reservoir to the pump. Shorter and no longer close to engine and belt. Thanks for looking!
@Porsche911 Yes it is? On here at The Deal Tank section.
Is your 924S still available?
@Stonesncars thank you for bidding. It is a beautiful car that I have had great pride in owning and maintaining it. Always garaged and runs tight, smooth, clutch grabs and pulls as it should and always getting compliments at PCA events or on the street. Hope it goes to a great home where it will be an honor to own and enjoyed. We have great memories with this car which we named Nina years ago and Nina has always been there for us including giving us joy and putting smiles on our faces while battling my girl's cancer. Good luck to all bidding!

Wow! This car looks clean. It looks like it's been very well maintained, very original. The owner seems to be transparent and being honest with the dent in the front fender, even though it mentions nothing in the Carfax. If I didn't have too many cars right now, I would bid on this car in a heartbeat. Somebody's going to end up with a very nice and beautiful Porsche 924S.
Good luck to the seller.
@VICROC Thank you for the bid. I just added a picture of the receipt of Service performed at 76,364 miles on July 2014. So less than 4k miles ago belts, seals, coolant flush and refill, pump which I provided, tensioner, etc performed by Aero Dynamics in Daytona FL.

Hello everyone,
this is my 1987 Porsche 924S . I am the 3rd owner and have taken great pride maintaining and preserving this vehicle. Today someone asked me if it has ever had any body damage? The answer is no. Only a dent on front fender. Just uploaded at the bottom of the picture gallery are pics of the dent. On the front passenger fender, someone left me a surprise at a Cars and Coffee event. Being meticulous, I had the dent tapped out and professionally repaired/painted, to a high quality standard I only would accept.
Thanks for looking!
