We are pleased to present this 1987 Porsche 911 Turbo Slant Nose finished in the traditional combination of Guards Red over black leather. Styled after the aerodynamic Kremer 935 racing cars of the early 1980s, the M505 Flachbau or “Slant Nose” configuration was offered through Porsche's special wishes department between 1982-1989 at an additional cost of around $29k. Less than 1k Slant Nose versions are reported to have been built in total, of which only several hundred made their way to the U.S. Remaining one of the rarest and most sought after air-cooled Porsches of all time, this 1987 example is said to have been preserved in excellent condition having been maintained and detailed in-house by professional technicians as part of a major collection. With approximately 69k miles showing on the odometer, this highly collectible Turbo Slant Nose is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Arizona accompanied by a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.
The Guards Red paint is said to be very well presented with only minor signs of road-going wear. A professional paint correction is also said to have been carried out within the last year, detailed images are provided in the photo gallery along with a clean CARFAX and recent paint meter readings. The factory build sticker remains in place which includes the M505 option consisting of boxed lower rocker panels, rear fender intakes, and handcrafted Flachbau front fenders with pop-up headlights. This example rides on factory 16” Fuchs alloy wheels which feature chromed finish and Pirelli P-Zero tires with date codes from 2019.
Inside, this Turbo is appointed with a black partial leather interior which is described as being in excellent condition throughout. Factory features include heated power-operated seats, an alarm system, black velour luggage compartment carpeting, and a steering wheel with a raised hub. An updated Blaupunkt radio has been installed in addition to an aftermarket MOMO steering wheel, and the original steering wheel will also be included in the sale.
This U.S. market 930 is equipped with an air-cooled 3.3 L flat-six turbocharged engine that delivers 282 HP and 289 lb.-ft to the rear wheels by way of a 4-speed manual gearbox and a limited-slip differential. An aftermarket exhaust has been installed and this Turbo is reported to be in excellent driving condition with no-expense-spared on proper routine maintenance. The air conditioning system was completely overhauled in 2020 along with shifter service at a cost of over $9k, and the seller confirms all gauges and accessories to be working properly.
This sale will include an original toolkit, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity and a clean title. A must-have for any avid Porsche collector, this rare M505 Slant Nose Turbo is just waiting for a new home.

Thanks for explaining.
I see you’re in PCA, as am I.
Though I’m out East, ‘hope to cross paths someday/somewhere.
@R3Nterprises .... I don’t have any 356 in my collection .... I am 6-3 and have a hard time getting in and out of them ..... I love the 356 b ?
@R3Nterprises ...yes that is the name of my collection .... BTW the sticker is easily removed ....
Absolutely “ b-u-t-ful” car!
Regarding:the sticker on the driver’s side front fender, what is Das Auto Kollective? Is that your collection, or a local group of auto enthusiasts, or _____?
GLWTA,
Ron
Ps-
By the way, do you have any 356’s in your stable?
Most beautiful and rare iteration of the 911 model. A 911 SWT just sold for $430k on BAT. These should command much higher values. Soon they will.
@Gcfhab .... of all the cars in my collection it is the most unique and prized even though my others cars in the collection have higher values this one is always parked up front when I valet it ..... in 1987 was the first year that the factory made these cars without sending it down the street to the Special Wishes department .... there are so many fakes in the market .....so the option code sticker on the underside of the frunk lid a valuable sticker ..... I would never ever buy a Slant Nose without this option code sticker ....
@larrygk ....yes these cars are very special ..... when I used to drive it I got more thumbs up then my Ferrari 458
Here is a great video describing the Slant Nose history

@Losvar https://www.hawaiicartransport.com .... quotes the transport to Honolulu, HI at $1,495
Had a black on tan 1989 and of the dozens of cars I've been lucky enough to own thru the years. This was the unicorn. I still am in therapy as a result of selling it in 2010. GLWA.
@abacpm Aloha I live in Kapolei on the Island of Oahu
@dino70089 @dino70089..... I had another 930 in CA that failed and my mechanic adjusted the fuel mixture (leaner) and it passed ... then he readjusted to fuel mixture back to a high performance mixture
@abacpm I've been watching these slantnose coupes for a while now and it seems that any that have passed thru Calif run into the same problem (per their CarFax reports). As you probably know, you can't register a car you bring into Calif from out of state until it passes emissions.
The auction did not mention this ..... The car comes with two keys and a owners manual
@dino70089 I have had that happen on another 930 turbo I owned and took it to a mechanic in CA and he adjusted the fuel mixture and it passed ....
What is it about these cars that they seem to have trouble passing Calif emissions tests?
