This 1987 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe has been modified as a tribute to the 911 SC/RS Group B race car driven by Jean Pierre Gaban of the Bastos racing team. It features a rebuilt engine with upgraded internals, twin-plug heads, Haltech electronic ignition, and a PMO-style fuel injection kit. The car also showcases rally-style bucket seats, a Wevo shifter, RS carpeting, a roll cage, custom Alcantara upholstery, Brembo brakes, an RSR rear sway bar, and Bilstein front struts. Accompanied by a racing logbook and a clean title, this street-legal 911 SC/RS tribute is now being offered for auction out of Florida.
This 911 is finished in red with a custom racing livery inspired by the Bastos car from the 1984 World Rally Championship. The car has been modified with custom bumpers, a Turbo-style chin spoiler, a Whale Tail rear spoiler, hood pins, external cutoff and fire suppression switches, integrated tow hooks, and a radio antenna. It rides on aftermarket 17” wheels with gold-painted centers and Hankook Ventus tires. The seller notes the original tinted Sekurit glass remains in place. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin has been fitted with a roll cage and a pair of rally-style bucket seats along with a Wevo shifter, drilled aluminum pedal covers, a three-spoke MOMO Prototipo steering wheel, and a custom air/fuel ratio gauge in place of the radio. New lightweight RS carpeting has been installed and the lower kneepad has been wrapped in Alcantara along with the door panels.
The air-cooled 3.2-liter flat-six engine was reportedly rebuilt in 2022 including a machined twin-plug cylinder head with new Racewear studs, Ferrea valves, Webcam camshafts, Competition valve springs, Pauter forged connecting rods, JE Pistons, chrome nikasil cylinders, a 964/993 oil pump, a PMO carburetor-style fuel injection kit, and Haltech electronic ignition. The engine is said to produce up to 305 BHP with a 10.3:1 compression ratio and drives the rear wheels through a 5-speed G50 manual transmission with an oil cooler, close gear ratios, and a 40% limited-slip differential. Stopping power comes from servo-assisted Brembo disc brakes and the suspension includes Bilstein front struts, adjustable rear Gaz shocks, and an RSR rear sway bar with adjustable drop links. The seller adds that the car has not been raced in over 10 years.
This sale will include an extra set of wheels, a racing logbook, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “Perfect car to race in SVRA or HSR. The car comes with a logbook. It is easy to drive on the street and can be used for open track or cars and coffee. It has a 300 hp engine.”

@daedalus2116 Just straight pipe for now but you can buy a dansk muffler around 250$ if in California it is needed
@kcg1775 The wheels actually on the car are FIKSE RIMS
https://www.fikse.com/
THE ROTHMANS gold mettalic model
More spokes equals more durability. This flagship model takes a classic ten-spoke mesh design and uses modular wheel construction to make it stronger than ever. The lighter weight improves overall vehicle performance, especially for handling and acceleration.
Price for one wheel start at $1500
Another set of rims comes with the car same brand & different model race satin.
Perfect condition.
What brand of rims are on this car?
Bid in the amount of $35,000
The map tune is an Haltec
Really easy to use and set up diferents tune.
You can connect with a computer USB port and the software is free.
@KCnSF Hello
On an engine like that 3.2 with lot of torque you do not need to go high rpm 7500 rpm is totally enough plus there is a rev limiter.
The flat six is well know for is solidity and endurance.
I would say that a racing engine like that if you drain the engine oil each 15 hours you have nothing to do.
Each 2 season just check the compression is there all 6 same your good
Can you speak to the engine longevity with this fresh rebuild? Is there a number of expected hours until a new rebuild is needed? Trying to get my arms around the purpose/cost going forward. Thanks.

Anything besides the straight pipe preventing registration in California?
Bid in the amount of $26,911
Sorry if it’s a double post. Can’t find the original.
Need to know if the car fits a tall driver (6’5) considering there is a cage installed.

Bid in the amount of $20,911
Any chance of a few more underside photos of the tub/front pan?
@77911s I add octane boost but run on 93
Does the car run on pump gas? Assuming 100 octane minimum?
@KPE997.2 Yes car was stocked in a warehouse by the past owner who has a big classic car collection
He stoped raced this car before Covid as he broke the engine he did not restart the season.
So he decided to rebuild the engine and sold the car. He stoped racing vintage car he decided to go to modern with a Porsche cup
@waiting4snow Yes same as origine
I am 6.3 and I have still room to move the seat
With the cage in place, how is legroom compared to stock? Will a tall driver fit (6'5)?
@classicarexplorer on the "has not been raced in 10 years". Does that mean it did not get driven at all, the CarFax shows a large gap, thanks in advance!
@KPE997.2 Hello
No it has been done locally by the past owner who own a garage
@Classiccarexplorer you are going to want Pcar to update your description. It will affect the value. G50 is a way better transmission than a 915.
Any records on the rebuild from 2022?
@993David hello sir
matching engine and yes it is a G50 gearbox
Are the motor and tranny original to the car? I thought they moved from 915 to g50 in 87.

Thanks very much
@robbylou Hello
1. The set up is for track
But as suspension are gaz you can change the set up
2. No
3. Oil only
4. Yes cage is perfect and conform
This car would be perfect for the panamerica
Car looks great. A few questions:
(1) Was it set up for rally or track racing-only?
(2) Any skid plates on the underside?
(3) Are the lines running through the cabin fuel and oil cooler lines (anything else)?
(4) Is the cage still current for any local racing?
Thank you
