The Westfalia Camper is an iconic camper van conversion offered by the Westfalia-Werke company on the Volkswagen Type 2 from the early 1950s until 2003. This 1986 example is a Volkswagen Westfalia Vanagon GL equipped with a 4-speed manual transmission, a kitchenette sink and stovetop, a refrigerator, a folding rear sofa seat, a side awning, and a pop-up roof with solar panels. Purchased from its original owner in 2021, this classic VW Vanagon is now being offered for auction once again on PCARMARKET out of Canada with approximately 134k kilometers (83k miles) showing on the odometer.
This Vanagon is finished in white with an aftermarket Dansk Classic Line front spoiler and a Westfalia pop-up roof. Other equipment includes chrome bumpers, front diving lamps, a Fiamma side awning, VW-branded mudflaps, a rear window wiper, sliding window screens, and exterior access ports for water, gas, and electricity. The van rides on factory 16” steel wheels with VW logo center caps and new Falken tires.
The brown cloth and vinyl interior features two swiveling front seats and a rear bench seat that folds into a bed. Amenities include a two-burner gas cooktop, a sink, a refrigerator, two folding tables with stands, front door magnet screens, a rear hatch mosquito net, a 32-liter propane tank, electric fans, LED lights, and a 7” touchscreen stereo with USB ports and an integrated backup camera. The electrical system also includes dual 100-watt solar panels, a 2000-watt inverter, a lithium-ion phosphate 60-amp battery, and a Bluetooth battery status monitor.
This Vanagon GL is powered by a 2.1-liter water-cooled flat-four engine rated at 95 HP and 117 lb.-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven through a 4-speed manual transmission, and the vehicle comes equipped with power-assisted brakes and steering. The seller notes that upgraded MansiSpeed fuel injectors have been installed and the fluids were replaced in the spring of 2024. A comprehensive binder of service records is said to be included with the sale.

@alexbert. A couple questions for you.
1. You show two sets of wheels. Are both sets included?
2. What is the device in the drivers side of the engine compartment? All that wiring and hoses look unaffiliated with the engine.
3. On the 2nd video at the 2 1/2 minute mark we see the van idling at a stop sign and lots of ticking noises. Please comment on those noises.
4. I saw a bike on a bike rack in some photos but don't see how that rack is mounted. Please explain.
