@Fjamoroso - agree w/ COA. Mine on cars I own have been so off that I sent PHOTOS to porsche to get them to change them. That said, "special wishes" / slats / rockers not on the window sticker either. That is what has me thrown more. I have an 85 491, love it. And they have been bringing the $$$ on BAT. Last two $71K + 5%! The 88 Turbo cab here sold for that, fewer miles :)
@coolclassics I was interested in this car when it was in this past August's Bonhams Quail - Petersen auction. I unfortunately did not have the chance to inspect it and thus did not bid on it. I assume you purchased it at auction. Is there a reason you're selling so soon?
@V12Stealth Yes the car was federalized. All emission equipment is present.
@JNasty I've got two M491 / M70s and I couldn't love them more. https://www.instagram.com/p/ByynTxVlJ-G/?igshid=1h0x18yfwjbc5
Very interesting dynamic between those two BaT 491 cabs and the '88 turbo cab on here. Go lil' 491, go!

How was a Euro import passing smog in CA? Was it federalized?
Pretty car.
While there were only four 1986 model year M491 cabriolets delivered in Holland, worldwide M491 cabriolet production between 1984 - 1989 was 1,684...

Never say never with Porsche as "records from the era are sparse, at best" and this seems to be exacerbated on the earlier cars, but FWIW, I've seen other, later, Special Wishes cars with option code 09991 on the underhood sticker and "AIR INTAKE DUCTS-REAR FENDERS" on the COA.
This car appears to have a color-matched velour frunk liner. This was surely optional, especially in Europe, but isn't mentioned on the invoice or COA. Unfolding Porsche COA mysteries can be be tough, given that it's mid-80s Porsche we're talking about.
Are the rear slats made of wood?
For boxed rocker cars, like the 930 M505, the factory welded on extensions to the jack point and then welded a tubular gusset, at a 45 degree angle, to the extension for added strength. I can't tell on my handheld, but per pic 73, that looks like a standard, i.e. not extended / reinforced jack receptacle.
This interior is fantastic and the Porsche jacquard script seat inserts are the bomb.

@coolclassics - is there paperwork to support this? I did not see it?
@JNasty The car was ordered through the Special Wishes Program by the 1st owner, Charles Harris, who lived in both Holland and MD. I am not sure that that would show up on the COA.
@JNasty Looking at the import documents the odometer read 2772.2 on May 15 1986 on an EPA document shortly after it was imported.
@JNasty We have the CA title.
@JNasty We are not really sure about the KM speedo. The car was imported in early 1986 and the current one was installed at that time.
@seller - was the speedo swapped on federalization? Miles on KM speedo pre-swap?
@seller - is the title CA (per the last entry on the CarFax) or NV per the location of car?
@seller - how do we know slats and rockers are OEM/special wishes? Don't see the special wishes differences vs. regular M491 on the COA or the window sticker? Did it go BACK to special wishes later?
