The Porsche 911 Turbo was reintroduced to the U.S. market in 1986 after a 5-year hiatus, featuring newly introduced Bosch LE-Jetronic fuel injection. Factory-specified in Guards Red over a Black leather interior, this example has been subjected to an extensive engine and transmission rebuild in 2015 along with several tasteful modifications including a Fabspeed exhaust & headers, boxed rocker panels, straked side air intakes, and more. Accompanied by a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, it is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New York while showing approximately 102k miles on the odometer.
Factory-specified in Guards Red, this example has been equipped with boxed rocker panels and straked side air intakes for a more aggressive stance. Standard equipment includes front and rear spoilers, integrated front fog lights, and an electric sliding sunroof. It rides on 16”/17” Fuchs wheels including machine-lips and widened rear wheels, mounted with Bridgestone Potenza tires. A small dent with slight paint imperfections is noted on the roof, and detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX report showing an accident to have occurred in 1994.
The cabin presents Black leather upholstery and has been upgraded with a pair of 964 Sport Seats. Additional modifications include a 930S steering wheel, Rennline aluminum pedals and door handles, and an Alpine head unit. All gauges, electronics, and accessories are reported to be working properly.
A turbocharged and intercooled 3.3-liter flat-six engine provides up to 282 HP and 289 lb.-ft of torque stock to the rear wheels by way of a 4-speed manual transmission and a factory-optioned limited-slip differential. Additionally, modifications include a Fabspeed intercooler and air filter assembly, Fabspeed turbo manifolds with heater boxes, a Fabspeed exhaust system, and a Kuehl air conditioning condenser & compressor. The seller adds that an extensive service in 2015 included an engine reseal and transmission rebuild, and the accompanying invoice is provided in the gallery. Slight oil seepage is noted.
This sale will include a clean title, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, some service documentation, and original parts including the factory intercooler. Contact the seller for additional details.

@delanodp I’ll check everything’s in the packet. I sent it to them to do the pictures so I’ll have a look through everything.
I don't see the engine rebuild in the receipts. Did I miss it? In 2015 I see a $20k receipt for engine & tranny out and a 'refresh / reseal'. Is that the rebuild? Tx.
Hi, so this car was purchased from a long time collector in Washington. The car was very well cared for. It has undergone extensive work as far as an full engine, rebuild and full transmission, it’s in excellent condition, the car does run and drive and shift flawlessly, it’s said that the side rocker panels inside air intakes are an original factory special order option you can see the special order Z code in the spec sheet and it does come with the factory sport seats as seen in spec sheet as well, it is the original color classic guards red and it does come with the original paint sticker and the original option sticker which is is rare, it’s an overall very nice, perfect running and driving car car that mechanically needs absolutely nothing, no leaks no issues, the winning bidder Does not need to do anything to car but drive it and go and enjoy! it is turn key and go! it is an all original all matching Very nice example of a classic collectible Porsche 930 turbo. The car does come with lots of original parts, including the original exhaust, the original intercooler, and several other items Ty and good luck

Overall, this looks like a lot of fun, so I'll bid tentatively given the history (and needing to find out what insurance costs.)
There's a discrepancy in the dates on the paperwork.
The Certificate of Authenticity notes "production 2/16/87" and another document, apparently from Porsche, reads "September 03, 1985" and includes option code 00641 without description.
I'd like to have a history on the car explaining the accident repairs, modifications, the bodywork, straked quarter panels, center exhaust, the cabin trim changes, replaced seats and steering wheel. Hopefully, there are before-after photos of the bodywork and engine modifications when the intercooler and exhaust were changed.
It looks like this car was in California from about 2017 to 2021 when it was "designated gross polluter" (whatever that means … it failed smog for California?) purchased June '22 in Washington. Now for sale in NY.
Most recent major service is a transmission rebuild in 2015, previously Georgia '94 to '07, Ohio, Illinois '11 to '17.
Accident damage in 1994, which I guess is when the rear bodywork was changed. It's not clear what was damaged or replaced, but 80s turbos had a tendency to leave the chat going backwards into the scenery. : )
