This 1986 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet has been modified with steel 930 Slant Nose-style bodywork including fender flares, pop-up headlamps, boxed rocker panels, side air intakes, and a tea tray rear spoiler. The car has been refinished in its original Black paint color and features a new convertible top, a red Special Leather interior, factory Sport Seats, a MOMO steering wheel, a custom sound system, Wilwood brakes, a front strut tower brace, a rebuilt motor, a Fabspeed exhaust system, and custom three-piece wheels. It was purchased by the current owner about 5 years ago and has been recently serviced with new shocks, brakes, and ignition components. Showing approximately 109k miles on the odometer, this Slant Nose-style 911 Carrera Cabriolet is now being offered for auction out of New York.

This 911 has been fitted with wide steel rear fender flares and louvered Slant Nose front fenders with pop-up headlamps. It also features boxed rocker panels, straked side air intakes, and a Turbo tea tray rear spoiler. The car was refinished in its original Black color under current ownership at a cost of approximately $17k along with the installation of a new black convertible top for $3,600. It rides on custom three-piece wheels with new tires mounted approximately 2k miles ago. The seller adds that the exterior is in very good overall condition and the car has been driven with a protective vinyl front bra. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX report noting an accident in 2006.

The cabin features red Special Leather upholstery with contrasting black piping and optional Sport Seats. Accessories include a MOMO three-spoke steering wheel, air conditioning, power windows, a quartz clock, and a custom sound system featuring an Alpine head unit and a subwoofer.

The air-cooled 3.2-liter flat-six engine was factory-rated at 207 HP and 192 lb.-ft of torque. An engine rebuild is said to have been completed under prior ownership approximately 20k miles ago. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transaxle. An aftermarket Fabspeed exhaust has been installed along with a front strut tower brace. The seller states the car has been recently fitted with new Wilwood brake calipers and rotors, new shocks, a new distributor cap/rotor, ignition wires, and spark plugs.

This sale will include a toolkit, a spare tire, an air pump, a jack, a car cover, and a clean title.

The seller would like you to know: “Hello, thank you for viewing the auction for my Beautiful Turbo Look Cabriolet. I have owned this example for the past 5 years. Just within the last few months, It has benefited from service and tune-ups, as well as a fresh paint job and new top for the new owner to enjoy. The only reason I am moving on from this example is because I am 91 years old and need someone else to enjoy the car. I am not the best with using my computer, so any questions please be patient, as my Pcarmarket Representative will be assisting in answering your questions.”

Can you provide more details about the engine rebuild?

  • Autotrend (registered bidder) 3 monthsago

with all due respect those wheels are not Gotti wheels. i am in the custom wheel business for 44 years here in new york. i was for many years the Gotti wheel distributor. the Gotti wheels were 15 or 16 inch. they later rebranded and were called Etoille wheels. 18 inch wheels did not exist at that time nor are they remotely the style on the car. just trying to keep the information accurate.

    Any information about the accident?

  • Autotrend (registered bidder) 3 months, 1 weekago

i am confused. GOTTI wheels keep getting mentioned, but the wheels on the car are not GOTTI wheels. where are the gotti wheels that keep getting mentioned?

  • Vr6R32 (registered bidder) 3 months, 1 weekago

Nice car. Any photos of during the repaint or what shop did the paintwork?
    Thanks

@PCARMARKETREPRESENTATIVE The only photo of the hood without the bra looks to be 173 and the reflections from the shop make it impossible to tell much. And I see no photos of the fronts of the side mirrors without the bras?

  • michaelp1usa (registered bidder) 3 months, 1 weekago

Are the winged horses painted, stickers, easily removed?
When (miles) were the brakes and rotors done?
Any photos of the hood and side mirrors without the bras?

  • michaelp1usa (registered bidder) 3 months, 1 weekago

    Everything works properly?
What wheels were on prior to the Gottis and are they included?
The wheel hubs are stock so standard wheels can be mounted?
    Any rust removed when repainted?
    New boot cover too?
