Produced in the second phase of the 1985 model year, this “1985.5” Porsche 944 was among the first to receive a major update including a redesigned interior, improved suspension, and revised engine components. Finished in Pastel Beige, it was originally delivered through Brumos Atlanta, Inc. featuring optional Sport Shocks and Stabilizers, a sunroof, cruise control, and a brown partial leather interior. The car spent life in South Carolina up until 2016 before moving to Virginia where it is now being offered for auction by its fourth owner showing approximately 130k miles on the odometer.
This 944 was ordered in Pastel Beige, an uncommon nonmetallic color offered between 1985 and 86. A black polyurethane rear spoiler is equipped along with an aftermarket lower rear valence and taillight reflector panel. The factory 15” Phone Dial wheels come dressed in Kumho tires from 2012 and the seller describes some paint imperfections on the front end as well as a slight scrape on the driver-side window frame, dings on the lower rear valence, a scratch on the passenger side door, and a scratch on the bottom of the fuel door. The original clear stone guards have also become discolored with age. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is trimmed in brown partial leather with matching carpets and electrically adjustable seats. Optional equipment includes cruise control and a removable power-tilt sunroof panel. A new black leather shift boot has been fitted and the aftermarket radio was installed under prior ownership. A dashboard cover and Momo steering wheel hub are said to accompany the sale and the seller notes the glovebox door swings freely when opened as one of the inner arms are broken. All gauges and accessories are said to be fully functional.
For the 1985.5 update, the 944’s 2.5-liter inline 4-cylinder engine was given redesigned combustion chambers and modified cam profiles. Up to 150 HP is sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transaxle. Per the original sales order, the car was specified with optional Sport Shocks and Stabilizers for improved handling. The seller reports the timing belt was replaced in October of 2019 and readjusted later in August 2021. Other service includes the replacement of the clutch master cylinder in June of 2021 and a rebuild of the steering rack later that same year.
This sale will include the original sales order and documentation, owner’s manuals, service records, a carpet dashboard cover, Momo steering wheel hub, extra fuel pump relay, and a clean title.

Sold for $8,200
Offer in the amount of $8,200
Good morning everyone,
I’ve had a good bit of interest in the 944 over the weekend and received a few private messages. As mentioned before, if you are interested, please submit an offer via the pcar website. I’ve said what I’m willing to sell the car for and I believe it is extremely fair for both parties considering all major maintenance has been completed. It is getting harder and harder to find an original 944 in this condition with a clean title in a unique color. Don’t miss out on your opportunity to snatch this one up. Thanks again for looking. I’m standing by to answer any questions you may have. Have a great week!
New video is up for your viewing pleasure, thanks for looking.
Hello everyone. I am in the process of uploading a few more videos with an actual person holding the camera instead of a terrible suction mount bouncing all over. I also wanted to give a few updates:
1. The current mileage is 131011 as I've been enjoying the car while it's still mine. This may go up a little but not much.
2. I will include a full tank of premium fuel for whoever buys the car...even though it maybe cheaper for me to actually give the buyer gold nowadays :)
3. I will also include $110 cash to the buyer since I had planned on swapping the steering wheel out for a momo prototipo, I might as well pay half for the next buyer to finish the project. (the momo mount is still included with the sale).
Lastly, if you are serious about this car and want it, shoot me an offer that start with an 8 and we will be in business. The time has come for me to part with my second 944 but I doubt I'll stay away from these amazing cars too long. Thanks again for looking and I know the next owner will be getting a great car. Cheers and have a great weekend.
Hello everyone,
I’ve gotten several messages and offers and we are CLOSE to selling the 944. Don’t miss out on this fantastic car in a great color combo I personally have never seen in person before.
Send me an offer before someone else is driving it to a 4th of July barbecue!
Offer in the amount of $7,000
Hello again, thanks for everyone that bid on the 944. Unfortunately it didn’t make it over the threshold but we were close.
If you have any questions please message me or if you’re interested in the car please make an offer.
Summer has officially arrived and someone should be enjoying this German sports car on the back roads with the roof out. Why couldn’t it be you??

Good morning everyone. Last day for the auction. If you have any questions I’ll do by best to answer them before the timer runs out. Thanks again for looking, happy bidding!

Good morning everyone, thanks again for looking at my auction. I had one person contact me regarding seeing the car before the auction ends. If you're local to the greater D.C. area and would like to see the 944 please send me a message and I will do my best to accommodate.
I also will be including a Haynes repair manual with the car that I forgot to take pictures of.
Lastly, a quick update on the miles that I put on since my ownership. At my previous residence, I lived 2 miles from work but walking wasn't an option so I would take the 944 to work frequently when the weather was nice. Other than that, it's been on a few trips to PA but recently I've been on kid bus duty and my daily driver serves that roll better. So you can see how a round trip of 4 miles doesn't really rack up on the odometer quickly. Dad duty combined with the lack of garage space in Northern VA are the main contributors to my decision to sell the car. I'm positive the next owner will be getting a great car they can enjoy for years to come.
Let me know if you have anymore questions, cheers!

Good morning all, a few updates for you.
1. I apologize for my poor camera skills on the videos. For most of the interior driving shots I had my phone mounted to an arm suction cup clamp from Amazon that was bouncing all around. That is from the mount not the car itself. The suspension is perfect and it does not drive like a lifted trophy truck at all. Also, I apologize for my terrible allergies and sounding like a bulldog on the walk around videos (I had my wife cry-laughing yesterday watching the videos, so I've got that going for me...which is nice).
2. I am a longtime off and on PCA member, so I truly appreciate all Porsche has to offer and am a proud Porsche owner.
3. The 80s bookshelf speakers can be easily unplugged and are 100% removable. A previous owner had them in there and I just never took them out.
Again, any questions you have, please feel free to ask. Have a great day.
Hello everyone and thank you for taking a look at my Porsche 944. This car is my second 944 and words cannot describe how much fun it is to drive. If you’ve ever had the pleasure to take a transaxle Porsche on a mountain road then you know it leaves a giant smile on your face. But don’t let it fool you, it is also at home on our detuned version of the autobahn. This is a fantastic driver’s example of a second gen 944 in a color that stands out from the crowd of red and black 944s.
I’m happy to answer whatever questions you have and provide as much additional info as I can. I hope the future owner loves this car as much as my wife and I have.
Cheers and happy bidding.
