This 1984 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe was delivered new to its original owner at the Porsche factory in Stuttgart, Germany, through the European Delivery Program before being shipped back to the U.S. where it remained under their care for the next 11 years. The car had one more owner before the seller’s purchase and subsequent transformation into the IROC-style tribute we see today. It features backdated ’74 IROC-style bodywork, a sunroof delete, a stripped-out racing interior with a full roll cage, racing bucket seats with 5-point harnesses, RS-style door panels, a MOMO steering wheel, and a rebuilt 3.2-liter flat-six engine with an upgraded mass airflow sensor, headers, and a Supertrapp straight-pipe exhaust. The car also features a lightweight carbon fiber clutch, enlarged torsion bars, sway bars, and adjustable Koni shocks. Thoroughly serviced in 2024, this custom street-legal IROC tribute is now being offered for auction out of Georgia.

This 911 has been modified with backdated ‘74 IROC-style fiberglass bodywork from GT Racing including the bumpers, hood, and whale tail rear spoiler. The sunroof mechanism was removed, and a solid steel panel was welded in its place. The car was refinished in Porsche’s Racing Green Metallic color from its original shade of Moss Green Metallic. It rides on 16” Fuchs forged alloy wheels dressed in older tires. The seller notes the car has seen track use for PCA and SCCA events and some signs of wear are present including an imperfection on the hood. The original hood is also said to accompany the sale. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.

The cabin has been stripped of carpeting and fitted with a full roll cage by Robinson Racing. It also features a pair of Racetech bucket seats, G-Force 5-point safety harnesses, lightweight RS-style door panels with power window switches, aluminum kickplates, a three-spoke MOMO steering wheel, an expanded rearview mirror, and a digital air/fuel monitor. The seller indicates the A/C system has been removed.

The original air-cooled 3.2-liter flat-six engine is said to have been rebuilt at approximately 125k miles by PCA National Turbo Tech “Doc” Emard. It has been modified with a mass airflow sensor conversion, headers, and a Supertrapp dual straight-pipe exhaust. The rear wheels are driven through a 5-speed manual transmission with an upgraded lightweight carbon fiber clutch. The seller states the DME was remapped, and the car was dyno-tested with an output of 226 HP at the rear wheels. The suspension has also been upgraded with Koni Sport adjustable shocks, larger rifle-drilled torsion bars, front and rear sway bars, and a front strut tower brace. The original exhaust components will accompany the sale and service completed during the Spring of 2024 included an oil and filter change, a brake fluid flush, a new fuel filter, a fuel system flush, and a new battery.

This sale will include the original steel hood and exhaust components, an unused spare tire, a toolkit, and a clean title.

This stunning Porsche has been used for various PCA events, including Tours, Concours, Rallies, Autocross, and De Events with many 1st place trophies. Fully streetable as-is.”
