Produced for the 1983 model year only, the Porsche 91SC Cabriolet was the first fully open-top 911 convertible. This example is finished in special-order Quartz Grey Metallic paint over a Burgundy interior. It features a 3.0-liter flat-six engine paired with a 5-speed manual transaxle, front fog lights, air conditioning, cruise control, a three-spoke leather steering wheel, an aftermarket stereo, and 16” Fuchs forged alloy wheels. Purchased by the seller about 12 years ago, this 911SC Cabriolet is now being offered for auction out of Maryland with approximately 71k miles showing on the odometer.
This 911SC is finished in Quartz Grey Metallic (662) with a black convertible top and tonneau cover. Equipment includes body-colored headlamp rings, headlight washers, rectangular front fog lights, a fender-mounted antenna, rear bumperettes, and black-finished 16” Fuchs forged alloy wheels with silver outer lips. The seller indicates the car is in very good cosmetic condition with original paint, and it has been garage-kept during their ownership. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is appointed with Burgundy partial leather upholstery and matching carpets. Accessories include manually adjustable front bucket seats, a black leather three-spoke steering wheel, black carpet floor mats, power windows, air conditioning, cruise control, a quartz clock, and an aftermarket Eclipse stereo. All gauges and accessories are said to be fully functional.
An air-cooled 3.0-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 180 HP and 175 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transaxle. Performance features include four-wheel independent suspension, front and rear stabilizer bars, rack-and-pinion steering, and power-assisted vented disc brakes. The seller reports that routine annual maintenance has been observed throughout their ownership.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, a toolkit, a spare tire, a battery trickle charger, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “This is a beautiful example of a limited production, first year, 911 Convertible in a rare color combination that has low mileage and needs nothing.”

Absolutely beautiful car!
@eurocol Thank you for your kind comment. She is beautiful, and I'm getting older and time to downsize. Cars go first, then the house.
seems more than fair for what looks like a really nice car, I have it's twin as a 1987 Carrera, same wonderful interior. $ 50K is a great price, IMHO
Good luck to you guys.
@JWaic Thank you for your bid. Unfortunately, I can not let her go for less than $50,000. A couple days ago a 1983 911 SC Cabriolet sold for $70,000. Granted it was professionally detailed, and had photos taken professionally, but it also had twice the mileage as mine, and had (in my opinion) a drab black interior.... still, it sold for $70,000. My reserve was $65,000. I've come down $10,000 and currently have her listed on Deal Tank at $55,000. I don't need to get rid of her, but I am trying to downsize. With all of that taken into consideration I would let her go to a good home for $50,000, as long as she's in a garage. If you can see to come up a little, we can probably make it work. Thank you again.
@jazznik953- I appreciate you getting more realistic...With the 5% auction fee, I'm tapped out at 47,500. to you, which totals about 50g's. Let me know if that works.
Are there any chips or blemishes on the exterior? Any signs of wear on the interior? Thanks.
Seems like a softening market, nice cab.....

@seller.. it could be tough to confirm except if you bought it new ..
Unfortunately I don't have one of those paint meters. I can honestly tell you the there has not been any paint work ever done. The car has its original paint, in every panel.
@seller
Would you make a paint thickness test all around the car .. thanks
Hi aic225. For the last 40 + years I've looked for, and been patient, to search out and collect 1 or 2 year only Porsche models in non traditional colors. My membership and connection with the PCA and other organizations have enabled me to find and purchase these autos. It took me almost 10 years to find this SC Cabrio. Of the 1,402 911 Cabrios produced in the initial year of 1983, there are dozens of them in Guards Red, Black, White, dark Blue... but only a couple made in this special color of Rauch with burgundy leather. The only reason I'm letting this go is because of age, and downsizing. I've put roughly 200 miles on this car because it's a pampered, Garage Queen that only gets exercised in the best of weather conditions, and gets trailered to local cars and coffee, and local car shows. She's been the baby, and is the 3rd to go in the collection. The only thing she's needed is bi-annual oil changes, which I've done... but now my age is preventing that grom being done. I need her to find a worthy home. Thank you for your interest.

Do you have any supporting service history over your ownership? It looks like it’s only gone a few hundred miles in 10 years.

Good Monday everyone watching the auction of my beautiful SC Cabriolet. There are only a couple days left in the auction and another caretaker will have the pleasure of owning this cherished family member. The only reason she is going is because of us downsizing, and that means the cars have to go before the house. As you can see she is a beautiful special order color and needs nothing other than another good home and garage. I'm available for questions, and if you send me a text, or email, I can have a phone conversation with you.
urfealex: Porsche of Delaware is 40 minutes from my house, and I'm certain they could do a PPI... (my other cars go to them.)
Thank you all.
Joe
