We are pleased to present this custom 1983 Porsche 911 SC "RS" backdate. Starting out as a pristine 1983 example, this SC was transformed by Willow Automotive in 2012 into the one-of-a kind 1973 RS build that we see today. In addition to its distinctive RS styling, this 911 features a 993-sourced 3.6 L flat-six Varioram engine mated to a G50 5-speed manual transmission. Also showcasing upgraded air conditioning, a limited slip differential and other performance modifications, this nicely executed RS backdate is now being offered by its seller in Chicago accompanied by a clean Illinois title.
This 911 is finished in White with Blue Carrera RS graphics. The paint is stated to be in excellent condition and the seller notes that clear protective film has been applied over the graphics to prevent peeling (detailed images are provided in the photo gallery). Backdated fiberglass RS bodywork has been installed including the fenders, bumpers, hood and Ducktail rear decklid. Other features include European-market headlamps, polished side-view mirrors and 16” Fuchs wheels which are finished with Blue centers and polished outer lips. The seller indicates that new Bridgestone Potenza tires were installed in 2017.
Inside, this 911 features a Black interior with RS-style door panels, a bolt-in roll bar and a MOMO Prototipo steering wheel. Other details include a short-throw shifter, push-to-start ignition, Sparco safety harnesses, Rennline adjustable pedals and an aftermarket Kenwood stereo. An upgraded air-conditioning system has also been installed which includes front and rear condensers. The rear condenser was replaced in 2018 and the seller confirms all gauges and accessories to be working properly. Approximately 64k miles are shown on the odometer of which nearly 18k are said to have been added under the current ownership.
Power comes from a Porsche 993-sourced 3.6 L flat-six Varioram engine which is rated at 282 HP stock. The rear wheels are driven through a G50 5-speed manual transmission with a billet side-cover, limited slip differential and short-throw shifter. Performance features include dual oil coolers, a lightweight flywheel, Porsche 930 brake calipers and Bilstein shocks. The left cylinder head was replaced along with the #1-cylinder, piston and connecting rod in 2018 following a valve failure. Replacement drive axles were also installed during the engine conversion by Willow Automotive. Routine maintenance is said to be up to date and the seller notes the undercarriage to be exceptionally clean. Documentation regarding the work performed is provided in the photo gallery for reference.
This sale will include a set of 2 keys, a clean title, records dating back to 2012, tools, a car cover and trickle charger. Offering up the legendary styling of the 1973 RS coupled with a powerful 3.6 L motor and other performance upgrades, this custom backdated 911 represents an incredible value.

@matthewlesko I'm sorry to hear this has been you experience at Willow Auto as we pride ourselves in client care and precision detail. Please feel free to reach out so that we may resolve any untended issues.
@jkw01 Unfortunately, BAT no longer grants us your contact information; however, we're glad to see you again!
Someone recently inquired about the vehicle's current compression and leakage results.
The results were as follows:
Compression: between 165 and 170 psi.
Cylinder leakage: 3-4%
@jkw01 Willow is one of the most reputable places in Chicago but not one of the most friendly / personable

@emptherapies $75K at BaT.
@samrudin Often thought the same thing, as I check both sites weekly. Obviously the format works as this site is expanding to include non Porsches.
What did this car reach on Bringatrailer? It's a really nice build in one of the best color combinations.
