Introduced in 1960, the 40-Series Land Cruiser has long been celebrated for its exceptional off-road capabilities and enduring durability. Imported to the United States from Venezuela, this 1982 Toyota FJ40 comes finished in red over tan upholstery and features a 4-speed manual transmission with a dual-range transfer case. This FJ is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New York.
This example is finished in red with a tan removable soft top. Exterior features include a black front grille, round headlights, fender-mounted fog lights, black bumpers, body-color front fenders, black rear fender flares, and chrome model designations, hood latches, & door latches. The 15” steel wheels are finished in black. The seller notes some paint imperfections and rust bubbles, and the front windows fold out and down. Additional images are available in the gallery.
The body-colored interior features tan vinyl upholstery on the front seats, inward-facing rear jump seats, and door panels. Accessories include a black three-spoke steering wheel, a roll bar, manual window cranks, a heater, a glovebox, and rubber floor mats. An aftermarket radio is connected to speakers installed beneath the rear seats.
A 4.2-liter inline-six engine delivers power to the rear or all four wheels through a 4-speed manual gearbox and a dual-range transfer case. The seller notes the carburetor experienced sputtering due to a weather change and confirms a tune-up will be completed before delivery to the winning bidder.

I was contacted about when this FJ was imported and it was Late 2021.
So not exposed to Salty roads ever.
@marcromano to answer with regards to the the mileage on this vehicle it is TMU True mileage unknown. Common issue with 40 + plus year old vehicles.
Two thoughts on this
My guess it the ODO odometer was Reset when this vehicle was imported into the USA or at some point many vehicles when they go through a major restoration they reset the ODO. Not sure on this one but my guess is reset when imported. Thank you and if your in the area come check it out it really is a neat FJ40
@marcromano Hello thank you for the interest. As I mentioned below the Steering wheel is Off center and that is being address as we speak. The vehicle is not pulling to the left it is simply the steering wheel if off center.
Why does it pull so hard right? What is the mechanical issue? thank you.

From what I am told the wheel is off center vs it pulling but yes that will be taken care of to make correct.

In addition to the tune-up to resolve the carb. issue, will you also have a wheel/steering wheel alignment performed? The videos make it appear that it pulls hard to the right when the steering wheel is centered.
