Up for auction is this tastefully-built 1981 Porsche 930 Turbo Outlaw. Starting life as a stock 1981 930 Turbo, this 930 was sent to the experts at Protomotive Engineering to receive their comprehensive “Stage 1” upgrade. Highlighting a fully overhauled and heavily modified 3.3L turbocharged engine, this outlaw is now being offered for auction in excellent driving condition by its seller in California.
The timeless Black Metallic finish on this 930 is stated to be in great condition with some minor road-going wear present. The seller notes that the rocker moldings have been refinished to remedy some stone chips. Detailed images are provided in the photo gallery. Visual exterior modifications include yellow tinted fog lights and 3-piece Speedline wheels which are complimented by a lowered ride height.
This Turbo sports a black interior that shows to be in great condition and features powered leather seats. Notable upgrades include a 934 boost gauge, a 3.8 RS steering wheel, and an ash tray/glovebox delete. All gauges, electrical components and accessories are said to be fully-functional.
This outlaw is equipped with a fully reworked 3.3L flat-six turbocharged engine that boasts a claimed output of 425 HP. The rear wheels are driven by way of a smooth G50 5-speed manual transmission with an upgraded clutch resulting in a greatly improved 0-60 time of 4.1 seconds. Commenced at approximately 80k miles, the rebuild of this 930 includes the following services and upgrades:
This 930 is a driver-focused outlaw that was designed for maximum enjoyment and performance. The updated Garrett turbocharger begins to spool at 1500 RPM and is on a full 0.7 bar boost by 3000RPM. This makes the car much more predictable to drive. Having seen approximately 20k miles since the completion of the build, this 930 is said to be in excellent driving condition.
The sale of this beautifully executed outlaw will include build specs, service records and a clear California title. The seller has indicated that this 930 is not CA emissions compliant.

A couple of items. The year imported is important to get a base line on mileage for when federlized a 0 speedo goes in the dash. There is no mention of seat, for the ones shown are from a 993. If that is part of the outlaw treatment so be it.
@82turboruf not sure! It was included with the car
@carsinc we do not have the original import documentation available. The car is federalized, titled in the US and has been in the United States for years.
Very nice!
Love the tool roll pouch, where did you get it?
What was the date that this car was imported into US and Federalized.
A car to be had and can still run with current big boys! Forget about buying it and hide it in a dark garage, drive it! If I didn't have 3 P cars already she'll be mine.
