This 1981 Porsche 911SC Coupe comes finished in Platinum Metallic over a Cadbury Brown interior and features front and rear spoilers, Fuchs forged alloy wheels, and a 5-speed manual gearbox paired with its air-cooled flat-six engine. The car was originally delivered in the state of Washington and was declared salvage in 1989 before being imported to British Columbia in 1993 with a rebuilt title. It has remained in Canada for the past 30 years under the care of two Porsche collectors and is now being offered for auction with approximately 128k miles on the odometer.

This 911SC is finished in Platinum Metallic and comes equipped with genuine Porsche spoilers at the front and rear. Other equipment includes a fender-mounted antenna, H4 headlights, front fog lights, and factory 16"x6” and 16"x7" Fuchs forged alloy wheels. The car is said to have been previously refinished to a very high standard and new Michelin Pilot A/S 4 tires were installed within the last 100 miles. The seller adds that a structural inspection was performed and passed in August 2023. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a full CARFAX report.

The cabin is appointed with Cadbury Brown seats and a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpeting. Accessories include a black leather three-spoke steering wheel, power windows, an electric sunroof, air conditioning, cruise control, analog VDO gauges, and an aftermarket Blaupunkt radio. The seller notes some signs of wear on the seats and the air conditioning system is currently inoperable. All other gauges and accessories are said to be working properly.

An air-cooled 3.0-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 180 HP and 175 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels by way of a 5-speed manual transaxle. The seller indicates the previous owner was a mechanical who performed service throughout his ownership including a recent oil change and spark plug replacement. The seller adds that no oil leaks are present, and the car does not emit smoke upon startup.

This sale will include owner’s manuals, a toolkit, a spare tire, and a rebuilt/salvage title.

The seller would like you to know: “Thank you for viewing this G body 911.  Although I'm a licensed dealer I'm also a Porsche nut. I have owned several air-cooled cars and have to say this car is in exceptional condition for its age and mileage. I am happy to answer any questions bidders may have. I am located one hour from the Niagara Falls Canada- US border and could assist with getting the vehicle to the border crossing.”

some help please: what does this mean: The car was originally delivered in the state of Washington and was declared salvage in 1989 before being imported to British Columbia in 1993 with a rebuilt title

Less than 40 minutes to go. Good luck bidders

  • Bulletproofauto (seller) 1 year, 3 monthsago

Good morning folks, last day of the auction. I'll be online today to answer any questions bidders may have. I'm 30 min from Toronto Airport (YYZ) and would be more than happy to pick up a buyer who wants to fly and drive.

  • Bulletproofauto (seller) 1 year, 3 monthsago

for any Ontario buyers, if the car meets reserve I will sell it with an Ontario Safety Standards Certificate.

  • Bulletproofauto (seller) 1 year, 3 monthsago

@Fotis22 unfortunately I do not have service records. The most previous owner was a mechanic and had the car for the past 10 years and did regular maintenance himself including an oil change every year. Having said that he estimates 2000 miles of driving in 10 years. He is more of a muscle car guy. The original Canadian owner for 20 years was a car collector. I did notice a pop off valve in the airbox. I doubt the most recent owner would have installed this. The car does not smoke or leak oil.

Love the color, dont see many here in NJ with that color combo. Quick question, you have any mechanical records of when the engine was last rebuilt (if it was). Interest in bidding soon

@Bulletproofauto. Thank you. I used to do business in western Canada Edmonton Alberta with Alberta fuel distributors. Went many times to Calgary, saw my first live hockey game you guys are a different crowd. Yes if I win I’ll fly thank you once again, I may even stay a few days over there.

  • Bulletproofauto (seller) 1 year, 3 monthsago

@luis.seneriz if you did decide to fly and drive, I could pick you up at Toronto airport and assist with preparing the customs documents. It's very simple because the car is over 25 years old.

  • Bulletproofauto (seller) 1 year, 3 monthsago

@luis.seneriz the other two companies I've used are Thorsons Marketing and Mackie Transport both based out of Toronto. I have personal contacts for all three companies.

  • Bulletproofauto (seller) 1 year, 3 monthsago

@luis.seneriz I would have ZERO hesitation in supporting a cross country drive in this car. If a U.S buyer was interested in exporting the best company I have dealt with is TFX International based out of Toronto. They are regulars at Barrett Jackson. I have used them several times for U.S clients.

@luis.seneriz thanks for the kind words on this classic 911. It truly is a car that any enthusiast would be proud to own. I get thumbs up wherever it goes. I think the undercarriage photos tell the story on this car's usage for the past 30 years. My mechanic was very impressed and he's a curmudgeon. This car now needs to go to a home where it will be driven and enjoyed as it was designed to do.

  • luis.seneriz (registered bidder) 1 year, 3 monthsago

@Bulletproofauto. Thank you. I seen a few here in the Houston areas where they have gone with electric systems. I drive my cars and I live the fact that this one is not a garage queen. Have you ever coordinated the us import paperwork or do you have a company that you would recommend. I live to fly and drive. My 660 horsepower twin turbo I drove from California to Houston Non Stop 1698 miles, but I think this one will brake that record.

My father had a79 in this color, that’s also the car I learned how to drive stick at age 12. Car looks great, I’m not afraid of the high mileage.

  • Bulletproofauto (seller) 1 year, 3 monthsago

@luis.seneriz I suspect it needs to be updated to new standards and recharged, it hasn't been run in 10 years.

  • luis.seneriz (registered bidder) 1 year, 3 monthsago

Any ideas what is wrong with the air conditioning system.

@Jnc852 as a dealer I would charge 5% GST to Canadian out of province buyer. They would be responsible to pay the PST when they register the car in their province. I would charge 13% to an Ontario buyer. i would charge ZERO tax to a U.S buyer.

  • Jnc852 (registered bidder) 1 year, 3 monthsago

@Bulletproofauto Thanks for the details. Seems reasonable. I'm not sure how taxes work. Does gst apply to this sale if sold within Canada?

@1822 They are the original 16 inch Fuchs rims 16X6 front and 16X7 rear. The pictures with Goodrich tires were taken when we first obtained the car in July. These tires were date coded from 2004 and have been replaced with new Michelin Pilots that you see in the other photo's. Sorry for the confusion. I should have picked up on this error when PCar sent me the draft prior to going live. I will have tjem update the listing to reflect the correct rim size.

  • 1822 1 year, 3 monthsago

Regarding the Fuchs wheels, the shots of the individual tires showing both Michelins and Goodrich appear to be 16s, not 15s as stated in the description. Can you please confirm the size of the Fuchs rims, diameter and width (6s and 7s, or 7s and 8s)? Thanks.

Hi, shipping enclosed transport to Alberta is $2500 Canadian. In 1989 the car was hit in left rear. At the time it was valued at $21,000 USD and salvaged. According to the shop that inspected the car when it came to Ontario this month, there are no signs of previous repair underneath the car.

  • Jnc852 (registered bidder) 1 year, 3 monthsago

Any experience with shipping to alberta? Do you know the nature of damage that led to salvage title?

  • Bulletproofauto (seller) 1 year, 3 monthsago

Hey folks thanks for checking out this super cool 911. I'm located in the Hamilton , Ontario area for anyone wishing to see the car in person. Just send me a message and I'll respond asap. Thanks
