Available for auction is a 1980’s Land Rover factory illuminated sign. The seller states the sign is one of the original external Land Rover signs from the factory plant in Solihull, England. The seller states this sign dates back to the mid 1980's when it was originally installed. The sign was removed in the early 1990's and has been in private ownership ever since. The illumination is wired to a UK plug and it is neon operated. 
All aspects of the lighting system are in perfect working condition. The sign measures exactly 4ft in length, 27" in height and has an overall depth of just under 7" and weighs approximately 50lbs. The sign has raised features including the Land Rover name and it is housed within an aluminum casing. The seller states the casing does show signs of age, but it is very much an acceptable level of patina. 
Whether you are a Land Rover enthusiast or collector, this illuminated sign would make an excellent addition to any garage space or collection. The buyer is responsible for shipping, shipping insurance handling, and transactional fees. PCARMARKET is not responsible for anything lost or damaged during shipping.
The seller would like you to know: “This very special sign was one of the original exterior signs from the Land Rover factory plant in Solihull, England. The sign was acquired from the firm that installed and also removed the factory signage directly on behalf of Land Rover. It has been privately owned since it was removed.”

I would just like to let you know that worldwide shipping of this sign is most welcome. Due to the size and valuable nature, the best way to transport this special piece would be through FedEx using a bespoke wooden shipping crate. I can certainly organise the crate production and the shipping to anywhere in the world, however I would need to pass on the cost to the new owner.
The shipping crate is likely to cost around $250 and I can assure you it is a superbly made item that you would want to use again.
