Offered as a limited-edition model with 408 examples produced for the North American market, the 911SC Weissach Coupe celebrates Porsche’s motorsport division with special paint colors, a unique Doric Grey leather interior, sport shock absorbers, and front and rear spoilers. This example is finished in Black Metallic and optioned with a limited-slip differential, power windows, heated power mirrors, an electric sunroof, and fog lights below the front bumper. It was cared for by two owners before the seller’s purchase in 1990 and benefits from an engine and transmission rebuild completed by Reno Rennsport in August 2024. As previously listed on PCARMARKET, this rare 911SC Weissach Coupe is now being offered for auction out of Nevada with approximately 203k miles on the odometer.
Designated by internal production code M439, the Weissach Coupe option includes a front spoiler lip and a rear "Whale Tail" Turbo Carrera spoiler. This example is reportedly one of only 200 examples to have come factory-finished in Black Metallic, one of two colors available on this limited-edition model. It comes equipped with optional front fog lights, heated power mirrors, a power antenna, and an electric sunroof. The factory 15” Fuchs wheels were stripped and polished under previous ownership. The seller notes some minor paint touch-ups and several small blemishes around the exterior. The car was professionally detailed and treated with a ceramic coating in 2023. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The Weissach Coupe showcases a special Doric Grey leather interior with Burgundy piping and matching carpets. This car includes Sport Seats, power windows, an updated three-spoke leather steering wheel, a newer Blaupunkt radio, and Porsche 911SC-branded carpet floor mats. The seller states the rear parcel shelf has been replaced, the seats show signs of wear beneath their sheepskin covers, and the air conditioning system does not blow cold. Additionally, a 10-disc CD player has been fitted behind the passenger's seat, and the original steering wheel is included in the sale.
Rated at 180 HP and 175 lb.-ft of torque, the air-cooled 3.0-liter flat-six engine delivers power to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transaxle and an optional limited-slip differential. Uprated sport shock absorbers came standard on the Weissach Edition. The seller notes the engine and transmission were rebuilt by the specialists at Reno Rennsport in August 2024 within the last 200 miles.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, a toolkit, a spare tire, an air pump, a car cover, the original steering wheel, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “Thank you for visiting my auction. I have owned this car for over 34 years and store it in a garage. All maintenance is up-to-date, and the engine and transmission were rebuilt and finished in August of 2024. This is a very rare model with only 57 "survivors" of the original 200 built in the metallic gray (black) color.”

@stevefixer The speedometer stopped working at around 190,000? and was replaced about a year ago. The car has been driven minimally since then. The estimate is Mileage Shown: 202,771. But please keep in mind that the engine and transmission were rebuilt and have less than 200 miles on the "new" engine.
@rreasen SURE
any record of the speedo change and miles at that time ?

I remember when this model came out and I was only 24 years old. . . . I was in the Porsche dealership in Boulder Colorado and thinking how the hell I could pay for one of these. Special interior and all around beautiful car. Had to wait another year or two and wound up with a used 1977 911S Targa.. but always loved these Weissach coupes.
GLWTA
@Singer2020 The front seats were "stained" by the previous owner and the coating was applied over the red piping. The back jump seats are original. The headliner area is where all the controls for the sunroof are located so it is probably just the photo angle that makes it appear to be "sagging".
Beautiful car, Is the front seat re-upholstered? seems the red piping is faded or missing similar to the rear? pic 63, Pic 68 the headliner near the sunroof seems torn or coming off, can you clarify? common issue
Bid in the amount of $22,000
Thank you very much
@garyklein911 Gary, regarding brake work, bushings and suspension work, I looked through the work records and saw that wheel bearings and brakes have been regularly worked on. I also saw "tie rods" were replaced at one point and axles were rebuilt. I am not car savvy enough to identify items related to "suspension" work, so I assume it is original. I hope this answers your questions.
@Bruce914 Bruce, this was my husband's car. He just passed away so I cannot ask him for the proper answer to your question, and I don't know what "CAT" is. The car has passed the Nevada smog requirement, however, if that is related at all.
Beautiful car - curious if the CAT is still on it as some states require it to register.

I have a set of original gold wheels for this model, seven and 8 x 15. Google would find me if you were interested.
I’m so sorry to hear of your husband’s death. I hope you are at peace and have family/friends support.
@garyklein911 I'm sorry I can't answer your question right away. This was my husband's car, and he just passed away so I cannot ask him. However, we have all the paperwork on the work we have had done on the car, and when I am able, I will try to look through it.
@garyklein911 Thank you for the information.
@550bryan Thank you for the information--much appreciated.
Over 200,000 miles. Ever had brake work, bushings, or suspension work done? Any upgrades in these areas, or all stock?
Fuel injection system is CIS- Continuous Injection System
I have owned a couple of SC's and they are far from being a dog, particularly given their age. HP was increased with the Carrera in 84, but so was the weight. BTW, the SC does not have carburetors, it came equipped with mechanical fuel injection.
@rreasen Not sure what you mean by "a dog". We always felt that the car drove well with lots of "pep". We never experienced any issues with the carburetor.
Had the one in opposite color. Car is actually a dog to drive. The 3.0 motor had no pep and seemed to need carb service pretty frequent. Love the color on this one and the rarity. GLWA. These do seem to come up for sale more frequently than I’d previously imagined.
