Offered between 1978 and 1983, the 911SC was given the name ‘Super Carrera,” powered by a 3.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six engine. Finished in Silver Metallic over blue upholstery, this one-owner 1980 example was initially delivered in Montreal, Quebec. Accompanied by a host of documentation, it is now being offered for auction by the selling dealer out of Canada with under 83k kilometers (~51k miles) showing on the odometer.
This Coupe is factory-finished in Silver Metallic and rides on 16" Fuchs wheels wrapped in older Bridgestone RE71 tires. Equipment includes front fog lights, H4 headlights, impact bumpers, dual mirrors, a sunroof, and a single exhaust outlet. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The cabin is outfitted with blue leather-upholstered seats, a color-coordinating dashboard, door panels, and carpets. It also equips a three-spoke steering wheel, VDO instrumentation, and power windows and door locks. The seller recommends replacing one of the window switches and notes that the clock is currently inoperable.
The air-cooled 3.0-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 180 HP to the rear wheels via a 5-speed 915 manual transmission. The seller confirms no outstanding maintenance issues and includes comprehensive service records dating back to the vehicle's initial delivery.
This sale will include a clean title and service documentation.
The seller would like you to know: “This is a stunning and extremely rare 1980 Porsche 911 SC Sunroof Coupe with 82,716 Kilometers (51,400 miles) on the odometer. This car has what you want in a Porsche 911 SC; it's a coupe, one owner, well maintained with all records, all original and never winter driven! She is finished in a Silver Metallic paint (from the factory) with a complementary blue leather interior, also all original. Overall, this car is in outstanding, original condition and driven less than 1,200 miles a year!
This is a well-kept car; the exterior is in excellent condition benefiting from care, maintenance, no winter driving and storage in a garage all its life. The interior is in great condition and the car has been well maintained throughout its life. We have the original maintenance book stamped by the dealer when service was performed. See in the pictures. We also have all the service records. She is powered by her 3.0L H6 SOHC 12V engine coupled to her 5-speed manual transmission. The motor is strong, the clutch is good, and the gearbox is fluid and has no issues. In fact, there is a picture of the empty garage which was taken moments after the car was brought outside after a month, no residue of any kind, also no smoke on startup. She has her original Fuchs wheels mounted with Bridgestone RE71 tires, these tires should be replaced as they are date coded before the year 2000; however, if you check the tread wear you will see that it has not been driven far on those tires at all. The AC works well and amazingly blows cold, she has Power Windows, the original Cassette/AM/FM Radio and Power Mirrors that I think needs a new switch.
This 1980 Porsche 911 SC Sunroof Coupe was purchased by the current owner in Canada in 1979 (see the original License Plate) but due to declining health, it must now be sold. We at Silverstone are experienced at bringing cars into the USA and can ship anywhere in the world. To reiterate, this car is in very nice condition and suffice to say has been looked after well throughout its life, you deserve it!
This is a car for a collector, and it boasts the look of a special car, the paint is near perfect, and the interior shows only minor wear consistent with the miles driven. The value of these cars has been increasing each quarter and will most likely continue an upward swing for years to come; this one given the originality and documentation. There will only be less of them in the future, and many are shipping overseas every day. If you are a serious collector, you cannot afford to let the opportunity to own this pass you by. We have priced this vehicle to provide you the best deal on a car of this caliber and we will assist in getting the car shipped worldwide or in getting it imported to the USA.”

Seller do you have an average cost to import to the US?
Bid in the amount of $36,000
@Silverstone thank you!
@Greatscott hello Scott and thank you for the question, everything on the car works with the exception of the clock, and although the passenger side mirror is operable by the switch on the driver‘s door that driver‘s door switch needs to be replaced. That’s the only thing that is not working properly.

@deanhaub I also recommend having an inspection service of your choosing come and look at the car to give you an independent assessment of the entire car
Thx
@deanhaub yes
Just to confirm. The car has all its original paint. Correct?
@ Silverstone Yes I am, I will contact you. Thanks.
@rillette I assume you are in the Montreal area and if so, yes, we can definitely make that happen. Please send me a message through the contact seller button above. Thanks
@Silverstone, I am local and interested in bidding on the auction, is the car available for in person inspection? Thanks.
I took a picture of the service booklet with all the services stamped. I am told that the owner is an engineer and was fastidious about getting service done and keeping records (and that there is a file containing these). That owner is now in a home suffering from Alzheimer's so he is not available to answer those questions and his wife would not know. His Porsche pal from the last 40 years is helping me with this so I am relying on his knowledge. Window sticker I do not know, the original sales order I believe yes and the original registration from 1979 which is still on the car. No paintwork for sure, Unless the service shop recommended those mechanical items to be performed I would say no. He did whatever was recommended. I can see if the friend can get hold of he file and look to see.
Bid in the amount of $30,000
When you say comprehensive service history dating back to new, do you have every record from day one? Original window sticker/invoice? Serviced annually since 79?
Has the car had any paintwork? Has the engine been resealed and/or head studs addressed?
Thanks
@Slim_Chance Correct, that is what the description says.
Bid in the amount of $5,000
The car has 16” wheels.
