Now available for auction is this 1980 Porsche 911 SC finished in black over a black leather interior. Purchased by its third and current owner in 1987, this 911 SC has been tastefully modified with added front and rear spoilers providing for a more aggressive look. Highlighting a recent major service completed at a cost of over $10k, this SC is said to have been carefully maintained under the current ownership while always being stored in a climate-controlled facility. This classic air-cooled 911 is now being offered for auction in excellent running order showing approximately 97k miles on the odometer.
The black finish on this SC is shown to be in fantastic condition with some minor signs of wear. Detailed images have been provided in the photo gallery. The seller indicates that the front hood, fenders and bumper were professionally refinished approximately 15 years ago following the relocation of the radio antenna. Noteworthy exterior details include H4 headlights and integrated fog lights as well as added front and rear spoilers. This 911 retains its factory black finished Fuchs wheels which come dressed in Kumho tires from 2016.
This SC is appointed with a black leather interior featuring a period-correct center console phone mount as well as an integrated Blaupunkt equalizer control. The sunroof motor has been recently replaced and the seller confirms the cabin to be in great shape with all gauges and accessories working properly.
Power comes from an air-cooled 3.0 L flat-six engine which is mated to a number’s matching 5-speed manual transmission. 180 HP stock is sent to the rear wheels making for a 0-60 time of approximately 6 seconds. This SC has been upgraded with a later-model non-catalyst stainless steel exhaust system providing for enhanced sound and performance. Reported to be in top driving condition, a recent major service was performed at a cost of over $10k, bringing this SC to top running condition. Invoices will be added to the listing gallery.
The sale of this 911 will include a set of two keys, the original books and tools, service records, a spare tire and car cover. Offering iconic vintage styling and a visceral air-cooled driving experience, this SC is ready to be enjoyed by its next owner.

@PMason I did get your information and the plan to come to NY on Saturday. I did reply to that. Did you get my reply? It may just be easier to give me a call or I can call you.
Thx
@JMRodney Did you receive my “contact seller” email? Thanks.
@PMason I can be around on Saturday if you want to see the car.
Thx
@JMRodney I believe this Saturday Sept. 12 might work if this is convenient for you.
@PMason I live about 20 minutes from LaGuardia. I’m sure we could arrange something.
Thx
@JMRodney My wife and I would like to meet you and see the car at a convenient time. We live in NC. Would meeting at or near LaGuardia would be good for you? No rush, perhaps in the next couple of weeks.
@PMason yes
Is the 911 still for sale?
Hello - Would you be open to a phone call about your vehicle? Thank you!
@Bubbles The car is running perfectly. I can't see a reason why not. Might be best to find a nice, off highway, sequence of twisty country roads where the car performs at it's best....;)
@JMrodney beautiful car...do you think this car would survive a trip to Illinois?

@Nybuilder I am happy to show the car.
@Nybuilder I checked on CARFAX, they do not provide information for cars prior to 1981. So, missed by a year.
I can tell you, never an accident, always maintained, the changes described about the car in the ad were accurate and only intended to update a classic...
@Nybuilder sorry about your lose.
@JMRodney I hope you can get a carfax, is the car available to be seen? Im in nyc and wiling to come to you at your convenience.
@Nybuilder We had a death in our family and that has led to my decision to sell. As for Car Fax, I don't think they are available for 1980 vehicles. I will look into it and post if possible. I'll also see if I can get a copy of recent maintenance work and post.
Thx

Can you post a complete car fax?
I'm interested but need a bit more history.
Sorry to hear you are parting with it for non stable space related reasons. Thanks

As to the US 74 Duck tail that was too abrupt and the tail on this car is just too big. The 75 Carrera and the 80 Weissach tails were just right...
@Caymanorcarrera When I was looking for a 911, I looked at about 30 cars. This one had all I wanted. The turbo tail was on the car. I had intended to keep the car but a family situation has led me to the tough decision to sell. Recently serviced, it is in top running condition.
Thx
Looks like a nice and original triple black SC.
I'd prefer a smaller tail..........IMO the tea tray only looks right on a wide-bodied car.
Integrated fogs are from a Carrera, but look fine.
Low mile, long held SCs aren't super easy to find these days.
