This RoW 1979 Porsche 911SC Coupe comes finished in black over matching upholstery and features an optional sunroof-delete. Initially delivered in Japan, this example was imported to Canada in 2007 where it was later purchased by the current owner in 2017, proprietor of Euroklass, a team of expert mechanics in Napierville, Quebec. This 911SC has since undergone an engine rebuild with upgraded JE 10.5:1 pistons, Nikasil-coated cylinders, Dougherty Racing 964-spec cams, and 42mm individual throttle bodies. The car has also been modified with RSR-style bumpers, a ducktail rear spoiler, and Recaro bucket seats. Previously listed on PCARMARKET, 911SC is being offered for auction once again by its seller out of Canada with additional engine build information and original 15” Fuchs wheels equipped.
Previously finished in white, this non-sunroof Coupe was reportedly refinished in black during its time in Japan. It features RSR-style bumpers, a rear RS-style ducktail spoiler, and original 15” Fuchs alloy wheels measuring 7” wide up front and 8” wide at the rear. Other details include black window trim, green “Carrera” side stripes, dual exhaust outlets, and European-market H4 headlights. Additional images are provided in the gallery.
The black interior includes leather Recaro bucket seats, a MOMO steering wheel with a yellow 12 o’clock marker, tilted VDO gauges, RS-style door panels, and aluminum pedal covers. Other equipment includes power windows, Carrera-branded floor mats, climate controls, and a sound system.
Power is derived from an air-cooled 3.0-liter flat-six engine driving the rear wheels through a 5-speed 915 manual gearbox with an upgraded clutch. The seller reports the engine was completely rebuilt approximately 3k kilometers ago and upgraded with 95mm bore JE 10.5:1 pistons, Nikasil-coated cylinders, Dougherty Racing 964-spec cams, 42mm individual throttle bodies, Clewett engineering crank and cam sensors, 440cc fuel injectors, hydraulic chain tensioners, and an ECU Master engine control module. The engine also received rebuilt heads, a refurbished crankshaft, new connecting rod bearings, and fresh gaskets.
This sale will include a clean title.
