This 1977 Porsche 911 Coupe has been modified with 993 Turbo-style bodywork along with a 3.6-liter flat-six engine paired with a 5-speed 915 manual gearbox, 18” Work wheels, Bilstein shocks, adjustable sway bars, Brembo “Big Red” brakes, a Fabspeed exhaust system, a front-mounted oil cooler, 993 seats, RS-style door panels, a three-spoke Dino steering wheel, and more. This custom 993-style 911 is now being offered for auction by its owner out of South Carolina.
This 911 is said to have been modified with steel 993-style fenders and quarter panels before being refinished in red under prior ownership. Modifications include 993 Turbo-style bumpers, rockers, and rear spoiler, 993 headlights and taillights, aero mirrors, dual Fabspeed exhaust outlets, and three-piece 18” Work Brombacher wheels dressed in Continental ExtremeContact Sport tires from 2020. The seller reports some blemishes on the lower front bumper, a chip on the windshield, and some signs of road wear on the rear quarter panels. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The black interior has been fitted with a pair of power-adjustable 993 seats in black leather along with matching RS-style door panels and carpeting, red door pull straps, a three-spoke Dino steering wheel, and a polished aluminum shift knob. Other modifications include silver gauge bezels, an aluminum ignition lock surround, an A/C panel delete plate, an aftermarket stereo, MB Quart speakers, and a drilled accelerator pedal. The car also includes power windows, a sunroof, and folding rear seatbacks.
Power is derived from a 964-sourced 3.6-liter M64 flat-six engine paired with a 5-speed 915 manual transaxle that drives the rear wheels. Mechanical features include a front-mounted oil cooler, a Fabspeed exhaust system, upgraded Brembo “Big Red” brakes with front cooling ducts, Bilstein shocks, and adjustable sway bars.
This sale will include a battery charger, manufacturer’s literature, a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “Thank you for visiting my auction. I have enjoyed driving this car on day-long trips. It has always been very reliable during my ownership, and it has been stored in a climate-controlled garage. This car will be best enjoyed driving it and not letting it sit in a garage. Drive with confidence.”

If you have any questions or want to discuss anything by phone. Let me know as we are almost 4 hours from auction ending.
I will reiterate that the car is all in working condition. All exterior lights, sunroof, radio, wipers and interior gauges. No mechanical issues with the car. Recently took it on a couple hour trip through the mountains. This will be a good driver car for someone. Thanks.
Bid in the amount of $50,000
@Flsupraguy I understand. I would agree that it was not swapped over with the newer 964 engine. Thanks for clarifying you question.
@vrschmidt I'm not trying to be argumentative but it appears the cruise control was not swapped over with the 3.6. I do a lot of highway/interstate driving is why I asked. It's no big deal. https://roadscholars.com/current-offerings/1977-porsche-911s-for-sale/#:~:text=In%20the%20cabin%2C%20defroster%20and,the%20addition%20of%20cruise%20control.
@Flsupraguy no cruise control on a 77 Porsche
Did you test the cruise control when you took it for a drive?
Bid in the amount of $30,000
@Oppytaylor I would like that 😂👍🏻
Hopefully🤞one of us keeps this sweet baby out of the deal tank
Bid in the amount of $20,000
@marmoset yes, it functions properly.
Driving video:

I didn't see any pics of the sunroof open. Does it function normally?
@Flsupraguy good idea. I will do that. Thanks.
I would upload the driving video directly to YouTube.
I have emailed PcarMarket again this morning asking them to upload the driving video from yesterday. In the meantime, if you would like me to email or text directly to you portions of the driving video I will. The video is 4 minutes long so I can only send you portions due to the size of the video.
Bid in the amount of $17,500
@DonnyB thanks. I have had this car for about a year and have enjoyed and driving it without any issues. Always starts up without being on a battery tender. Roll the windows down and listen to the engine purr or turn on the radio for some tunes. I know there are a lot of unknowns as I had those same feeling but I have enjoyed the car without any mechanical or other issues. Thanks for your interest.
Love the up-date on this car! Very unique and would be a great car to actually drive rather than sit in the garage and be looked at. But if i had this car i would do a lot of both.Just replace the outside door handle gaskets and enjoy.
I want to like this car. Unknowns are unfortunate... Still watching...
@DonnyB clean title
@DonnyB engine swap was done under prior ownership. Mileage on 964 engine is unknown.
@DonnyB the mileage on this car is exempt or true mileage unknown. Title show mileage as exempt.
Mileage shown of 64K...Are those engine miles? or the original body miles?
Some pictures show side shirts missing. In others they appear to be complete. How many miles on the 3.6?
@DonnyB Question was: Clean title or clean salvage title. A lot of mods to this car...
Bid in the amount of $17,250
Clean title. Not a salvage title, considering all the major work done on the car.?.. Still love it!!
I have uploaded a driving video of the car. Just waiting for PcarMarket to upload it.
@DonnyB no Carfax
Is there a CarFax report?
Bid in the amount of $17,000
Bid in the amount of $16,250
Bid in the amount of $16,000
Bid in the amount of $15,500
@Flsupraguy one side if the rear seats behind the drivers seat there is no seatbelt there. Passenger side has seatbelt. Just wanted to clarify.
Additional undercarriage photos have been uploaded this morning.
Bid in the amount of $15,000
@lennyturk I have been waiting on weather to do a driving video. Will try to get one today if weather holds off. In the meantime, the car drives great with no temperature issues. I recently took it on a mountain drive out of state with no issues. The car gives me no indication that you would have a problem driving it on a 750 mile trip. It has always treated me right.
Is it in good driving condition ?? Why don't you have a driving video ?? These older cars have a problem with heat exchangers ,were they been replaced ?? Do you think I can drive it 750 miles interstate ?
I've seen this car in person and it's well described! Great car and was a pleasure to meet the owner!
Bid in the amount of $13,500
Was able to look at and drive this car in person. The 993 conversion was very well done. Loved the drive. Everything was as described. Will be a bidder on this one.
@TransaxleJoe I am flexible from now till end of auction.
@TransaxleJoe thanks. That’s what the odometer says but true miles are unknown. Title show exempt on mileage.
What days would you be available to show your 911?
Bid in the amount of $12,993
Love it !, love it love it!!
I have a friend that lives in Rutherfordton, might send him to take a peek. Does the engine have only 65K miles?
Thanks.
@Flsupraguy yes
Are the rear seat belts installed?
@WReiter standard flywheel and shifter and stock 964 engine.
Thank you! Ventilation? Standard flywheel and shifter? As far as you know, is engine stock 964 other than Autoauthority chip?
@WReiter defrost in windshield works and roll the windows down 👍🏻
@WReiter video should be uploaded from Pcar of interior that will show rear seats. All seats are n good condition
How does the ventilation/fresh air/heat function. Is there any? Is it at all functional or it is lowering windows the only way to get airflow? Really cool car. Thanks!
Bid in the amount of $12,000
Photo of rear seat (cushions,)?
More videos of the car will come soon. I am out of town today and we will have possible weather tomorrow so no driving video until weather passes. Let me know if you have questions in the meantime.
@Flsupraguy I will upload a photo of the exhaust system
@Flsupraguy I did not install the Fabspeed exhaust and have no receipt from the previous owner regarding which exhaust was installed. Would a photo of the exhaust help you? Thanks.
Which Fabspeed exhaust is on the car?
@Flsupraguy to be honest I have never used CC but I will be recording a driving video today and check it out.
Is the cruise control functional?
New walk around video will be uploaded today.
@Flsupraguy I had started to research before I decided to sale. They are out there. Thanks for your interest.
Ok, guess I'll have to research a vintage ac system haha
@Flsupraguy No, they did not come with the car when I purchased it.
Do you still have the AC components?
Bid in the amount of $10,915
@UpstateSC yes sir. It is available to see. I am pretty flexible so let me know if you would like to look at it. I do not have any documentation from PO.
@550bryan yes sir. Forward dated. Not sure what to call it 😂. Work was done under prior ownership and they really did a good job.
Cool build! Any documentation of it from the PO?
Where are the vent/fan controls now blanked to the left of the radio?
Doesn't insurance in SC cover windshield repair/replacement with no deductible?
I'm local - is it available to see?
Thanks!
Wait a minute, a G body that has been updated rather than backdated? Looks good though. GLWTS.
New video of start up from inside showing gauge cluster. Cold start video will be uploaded later today.
Welcome to the auction of my 1977 modified Porsche 911. This modification was done under prior ownership and all the panels and body lines were done extremely well. Take a look at all the photos and if you have any questions, please put them in the comment section. This Porsche has been very reliable to me and I have taken it on day long trips without any issues. This is a Porsche that you can truly enjoy and not leave sitting in the garage. Thanks in advance for your interest.
