Cadillac celebrated its 75th anniversary in 1977 and debuted the new fifth-generation DeVille with considerable reductions in size and weight compared to its predecessor. Assembled in at the General Motors plant in Linden, New Jersey, this elegant 1977 Coupe DeVille comes finished in Frost Orange Firemist Metallic over an Antique Light Buckskin velour interior and is powered by a 425ci V8 engine paired with a 3-speed automatic transmission. The car is said to have originated in Tennessee and was acquired by the current owner out of North Carolina several years ago. Having been professionally maintained as part of a large private collection ever since, this Cadillac is now being offered for auction out of New York.
This Coupe DeVille is finished in Frost Orange Firemist Metallic complemented by an optional white tuxedo grain padded roof and external opera lamps as well as chromed bumpers, mirrors, and body moldings. It rides on chrome 15” Truespoke wire wheels dressed in Vogue Wide Trac Touring whitewall tires. A custom-painted pinstripe and monogram have been added and a small ding is noted on the driver’s door.
The spacious cabin is appointed with Antique Light Buckskin velour and leather upholstery with matching carpets, door panels, and woodgrain trim. Standard equipment for the 1977 DeVille included Soft Ray glass, automatic climate control, power windows and door locks, a power driver’s side mirror, a 6-way power seat, an AM/FM radio, and a spare tire cover.
Up to 180 HP and 320 lb.-ft of torque comes from a carbureted 425ci V8 engine paired with a 3-speed Turbo-Hydramtic automatic transmission. Front and rear power-assisted disc brakes came equipped as standard. The seller reports maintenance has been performed on a routine basis while the car has been in his collection.
This sale will include owner’s manuals and a clean title.

True's and Vouges? All you need is tinted windows and a bow hanging from the mirror and you'll be ready for that cruise through Bensonhurst! This was the epitome of cool where I grew up in Brooklyn. This car brings back great memories. What a beautiful time machine. GLWS

What does the car need as far as mechanical work? I see from the picture that there is a crack in the steering wheel and the headliner is loose. the description says its been maintained but nothing specific. Can the seller comment on what it does or does not need? RE: does the electric antenna work? Does the AC work? Do both windows, door locks, seat controls work? Lastly, do the original wheels, tires, hubcaps come with the car?
