Up for auction is this stunning driver’s-grade 1974 914 2.0.  Jointly designed, manufactured and marketed by Volkswagen and Porsche from 1969-76, the 914 is a spritely mid-engine sports car that is both fun to drive and easy to own. This 1974 example features a fully rebuilt engine and transmission and is being offered for auction with 88,600 miles on the odometer by a seller in Arizona.

This 914’s brilliant Yellow exterior was repainted a few years ago and remains in great shape, just bearing some minor chipping which is shown in the photo gallery below.  An Arizona car, this 914 is completely rust free with straight body lines and pristine exterior trim.  All glass on the car remains in excellent condition and the removable Targa top is said to be like new. This is truly a well-presented car.

Finished with a gray and black interior, this 914 shows only typical wear for its age.  The carpets show to be in good condition and the seller does note that some small cracks are present on the dashboard.  The seller also notes that an aftermarket radio has been installed in this otherwise completely stock interior.  All electrical components are said to be in good working order at this time.  With minimal effort, this interior could be brought to near-perfect condition.

This 914 carries a factory 2.0L 4-cylinder engine which was fully rebuilt along with the transmission a few years ago to the sum of nearly $17k.  The original block has been retained with an upgraded cam, roller rockers, 48mm carbs and Clevite bearings.  A new clutch was installed and an oil cooler has been fitted under the front bonnet.  Invoices have been kept for all of the work performed and only about 2k miles have been put on the engine since the rebuild.  This 914 reportedly runs strong, brakes well, and drives excellent.

The sale of this 914 will include original books, tools, service records, two keys, a clean Arizona title and receipts for the intensive mechanical work performed.  Light, nimble and famously fun to drive, the 914 offers an experience every Porsche enthusiast should have.  Do not miss your opportunity to own this beautiful ’74 914.

@jbelcredi The Original Color is Yellow, It has been repainted and the shade is off from the original as seen in the engine compartment. I don't have a video I Am not very good at things like that but the car runs outstanding, I have a clear Arizona title in hand, there is no car fax for the car due too age, No accidents original sheet metal. All items are working correct.
