This 1974 BMW 2002 Turbo is presented in Chamonix White with iconic BMW Motorsports graphics. Representing one of 1,672 examples built in total, this 2002 Turbo is said to have been imported from Sweden to the United States by its original owner in 1981. Powered by a 2.0 L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine mated to a Getrag 4-speed manual transmission with an optional limited-slip differential, this 2002 was previously listed on PCARMARKET and is now being offered once again by its seller out of Connecticut.
This example came factory-finished in Chamonix White (085) and features BMW Motorsport stripes, a rear spoiler, and genuine 13” Alpina wheels dressed in Kumho tires. The trunk holds a factory spare tire dated from March of 1974 and the car is described to have been preserved in highly original condition. Detailed images are provided in the gallery,
The black leatherette interior is equipped with sport seats as well as a Turbo-specific 3-spoke steering wheel, red instrument surround, and a separate analog boost gauge. Factory optional rear seat belts are also equipped along with a wooden shift knob and aftermarket Kenwood cassette radio. All gauges are said to be working properly and the seller reports a torn seam on the driver seat was repaired during their ownership.
An M10 2.0 L turbocharged inline 4-cylinder engine sends approximately 170 HP to the rear wheels through a Getrag 232 4-speed manual transmission with a factory optional limited-slip differential. Maintenance records are said to accompany the car dating back to 1981, and a full service is said to have been completed within the last 20 miles.
This sale will include some documentation, a spare tire, and a clean title.

@TubeGuy and it was a deal tank transaction.
@TubeGuy from the shop: Buyer sent his mechanic to inspect and decided not to complete the deal based on “excessive blowby” upon start up. He was sent the appraisal report prior to his arrival which noted the condition as well as the full report that we had completed some time ago.
Long story short, the buyer was a collector trying to buy a near-perfect car cheap and decided to walk away when it wasn’t as near-perfect as he anticipated.
So what happened to the previous buyer? Did he see the car and then not complete the purchase? He was in New York, correct?

@twickes40 Cold start video just posted, a few videos of the car idling, another walkaround video, four videos showing blinkers and lights and two driving videos
@wwickes The cold start video was just posted. She has a new battery, the battery was on a charger but she will need a new battery, which is evident in the cold start up video.
@FORMULAONE Please contact me through the "contact seller" button under the righthand summary of the listing. We can then discuss the car. Thank you.
@wanna123 It is not. I never registered the car in CT so it is still titled in CA. I have a dealer that will process the paperwork required for the new owner at my expense. Thank you
Do you have a cold start video?
Is car titled in YOUR name?
@Burnsie Greetings,
Many Thanks for the reply . . .
I kind of know the car, based on the VIN, and, was interested in it
however, missed the opportunity . . .
There are many questions that would like to ask you about and, most likely
the best performance would be a quick chat via CELL or !?
What would be the option to contact you? MOBILE !? EMAIL !? Or ?
Please do advise at your convenient
@FORMULAONE You are correct. The car was never titled in CT. She still has a CA title. And yes, it has the original KKK turbo.
Bid in the amount of $4,000
Greetings,
There is the State of California TITLE and, the car is in Connecticut, therefore, my conclusion
would be it never re-registered nor re-titled in Connecticut. . .
Would that be a safe assumption? If so, great news for all Californians...
Would you also advise about the true condition of the " KKK " Turbocharger?
Does she, the 4-SALE TURBO BIMMER, still wear the original " KKK " TURBO?
Or, has it been replaced with other none sense brand/s?
Please DO advise us at your convenient . . .
Warm Regards,

Hi. Nice driver quality 2002. Can you please post some videos? Cold start and driving would be ideal.
Happy Labor Day. I am selling my 1974 2002 turbo. I purchased her in April 2018 from a Southern California dealer. Upon delivery to CT I replaced the chipped windshield, repaired the worn seam in the driver's seat, replaced the battery and detailed the car including the engine bay. Since the work was performed she has been stored in a climate controlled warehouse in Norwalk, CT. I am selling her because I simply do not drive her. The car is in good shape, starts ( a bit of smoke if she's been sitting) and drives well. She is not a garage queen she is a driver. A car that can be driven without worry of reducing her value. Thank you for looking. The reserve is reasonable and I do wish to sell her.
