Up for auction is this 1974 BMW 2002tii presented in Fjord Blue Metallic over a Blue vinyl interior. Marking a significant evolutionary advancement for the BMW 02 series, the 2002tii model was debuted in 1971 with Kugelfischer mechanical fuel injection which offered a substantial increase in both performance and reliability. This 1974 example features some tasteful period modifications including European-style bumpers, 13” Cromodora wheels, Hella fog lamps, and an Ansa sport exhaust. This stunning 2002tii is now being offered by its seller in Georgia with approximately 85k miles shown on the 5-digit odometer.
This 2002 was professionally refinished in its original Fjord Blue Metallic color during 2017. The paint is noted by the seller to be in excellent overall condition with only a few small imperfections (detailed images are provided in the photo gallery). Features on this tii include chrome brightwork, European-style bumpers, Hella fog lamps, and 13” Cromodora wheels which have been fitted with BMW center caps and Pirelli P400 tires.
Inside, you will find a nicely kept Blue vinyl interior with matching carpets, a black dashboard, and a woodgrain instrument panel. Other details include a re-dyed 3-spoke steering wheel, a new shift boot, and an upgraded RetroSound USB stereo system with Polk door speakers. The analog clock is reported to be nonfunctional, however, all other gauges and accessories are said to be in good working order.
Power comes from a 2.0 L M10 inline 4-cylinder engine featuring Kugelfischer mechanical fuel injection. 130 HP is transferred to the rear wheels through a 4-speed manual gearbox. The engine is reported to have been removed in 2019 before undergoing the following service items to bring the car up to excellent mechanical standards:
Images of the underbody and service records are available for reference in the photo gallery.
This sale will include a portfolio of invoices, 1 BMW ignition key, 1 reproduction ignition key, a trunk key, a spare tire, toolkit, original floormats, a radio manual, and a few assorted spare parts for the interior. This beautifully presented 1974 BMW 2002tii is sure to satisfy most any vintage car aficionado.

@MStrauss - The dashboard is in great shape, no cracks. Heater, wipers, interior lights, dash lights, gauges, (aside from the analog clock which was actually replaced with a quartz conversion unit in Feb. 2017 so not sure why it's not functioning...), all function as designed.
