This 1971 Porsche 911T Targa is finished in red over a black interior and equips an air-cooled 2.2-liter flat-six engine paired with a 5-speed manual transaxle. The car is said to have been cared for by the same owner for several decades and underwent a major recent service and engine compression test. It features aftermarket Recaro Design 2000 sports seats and is said to retain its original engine and transmission. This 911T is now being offered for auction by its seller out of California.
This 911T has been refinished in the current shade of red from its factory-specified color of Dark Red Metallic (8110). Equipment includes a silver Targa band, a removable black roof panel, a wraparound glass rear window, a polished driver’s side mirror, a polished exhaust tip, chrome headlight rings, a fender-mounted antenna, rubber body moldings, chrome bumperettes with rubber overriders, and factory 15” Fuchs alloy wheels. A matching full-size spare wheel is mounted in the trunk. The seller indicates the car was previously restored and the Targa top was recently refurbished with a new headliner. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The black leatherette interior has been customized with red and black Coco floor mats, a steering wheel cover, and a pair of cloth Recaro Design 2000 sport seats. Other accessories include a four-spoke steering wheel, manual window cranks, a heater, a quartz clock, folding rear seatbacks, a fire extinguisher, a locking glovebox, a heated rear window, and a modern Alpine stereo with upgraded speakers. The seller reports all gauges and accessories to be fully functional.
Power comes from an air-cooled and carbureted 2.2-liter flat-six engine paired with a 5-speed manual transaxle driving the rear wheels. The seller indicates a major service was recently completed including new fluids, filters, a tune-up, and an engine compression test which showed between 155psi and 160psi for all cylinders.
This sale will include a toolkit, a spare tire, some documentation, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “The Targa top was just refurbished with a new headliner. A gorgeous car with great compression, owned by the same owner for many years.”

@opener we won't be in the office until next week, but we do have a few photos of the undercarriage that happen to be at the very end of the slideshow. GLWTA!
Great to see a T where the bumper and rocker trim match. Some undercarriage and front pan from the inside would be helpful.
