The Fiat 500L, part of the Fiat 500 series produced from 1957 to 1975, is known for its more luxurious trim and iconic Italian compact design. This 1971 example, powered by a 499cc inline-twin engine paired with a 4-speed manual transmission, underwent a comprehensive restoration by Bello Moto of San Francisco, California. It is refinished in orange over a black interior and features a retractable black fabric roof, 12″ steel wheels, polished bumpers, a refreshed dashboard, and more. This 500L is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida.

This example is refinished in orange as part of its restoration under previous ownership. It showcases a retractable black soft top, polished chrome bumpers with tubular guards, bright chrome trim, a driver’s door mirror, Fiat badging, and a vented engine cover. It rides on silver-finished 12” steel wheels adorned with polished hubcaps and wrapped in a new set of tires mounted with less than 20 miles. The seller notes the rear window rubber seal was recently replaced, and notes a scratch to the front passenger fender. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.

The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in black vinyl with matching door panels and carpeting. Additional equipment includes roll-up windows, floor mats, map storage pockets on the doors, a central storage compartment between the seats, a floor shifter, a two-spoke Fiat branded steering wheel, and an AM/FM/cassette stereo positioned beneath the dashboard. A new dashboard with an MPH speedometer has been installed, and tears are noted on the driver's seat.

Power comes from a rear-mounted, air-cooled 499cc inline-twin engine, which delivers a factory-rated 21 HP to the rear wheels through a 4-speed manual transmission. Recent maintenance is said to have included replacing fuel lines and installing a new fuel pump and filters.

This sale will include a toolkit, a spare tire, the original dashboard unit, and a clean title.
