Named after the Roman road connecting Turin to Tortona in Italy, the Lancia Fulvia Coupe was introduced in 1965 and proved to be a highly successful rally racing platform with its lightweight front-wheel-drive configuration. This 1970 example is a 1.3S version finished in Mendoza Blue over Toffee upholstery, powered by a 1,298cc V4 paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. It was purchased by the seller from a dealer in the U.K. who reportedly acquired the car from its original owner in Rome. It has since undergone over $27k in refurbishment including a rebuilt engine, gearbox service, and paintwork. This early Series II Lancia Fulvia is now being offered for auction out of New York accompanied by its original Italian number plates.

This Lancia is finished in its original color Mendoza Blue with chrome trim for the bumpers, rockers, door handles, grille, and window moldings. Accessories include front vent windows, quad headlamps, a hood scoop, a polished driver’s side mirror, a rear fender-mounted antenna, and 14” wheels with Lancia-branded center caps. The seller indicates some areas of the exterior were refinished to address bubbling including the hood, and the original tires were replaced under their ownership. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.

The cabin features original Toffee upholstery complemented by blue carpets, black floor mats, and a black dashboard with woodgrain trim. Appointments include front bucket seats, a rear bench seat, a two-spoke wood steering wheel, roll-up windows, a rear window sunshade, a heater, Jaeger Italia instrumentation, and an analog Veglia Borletti clock.

This Fulvia is equipped with a 1,298cc narrow-angle Type 818.303 V4 that was rebuilt under current ownership and sends up to 90 HP to the front wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission. Other equipment includes independent front wishbone suspension and four-wheel disc brakes. Service under the seller's ownership included the installation of a new exhaust system, CV boots, ignition coil, battery, and a gearbox overhaul with two new synchronizes, siders and a new 2nd gear.

This sale will include a clean title.

1970’s Lancias set the standard in automotive engineering for their time. The sound of this engine is beautiful and the car is light and nimble. The interior is in perfect condition with all original seats, steering wheel, carpeting and wood paneling. When I bought the car, it came with 1983 vintage tires that had perfect treads, but were starting to crack and needed to be replaced. The car could not have been driven more than a few hundred miles in the last 40 years and the odometer shows less than 14,000 KM. The original owner took great care of this car and passed along all the original brochures and paperwork. I spent over $27,000 making this car good as new. This is as pristine and authentic as any Fulvia out there.
