Factory specified in Ossi Blue over black upholstery, this 1969 Porsche 911T Coupe is powered by a 2.7L flat-six engine sourced from a 1976 911, mated to a 901 5-speed manual transmission. It features a bare-metal refinish and red-painted contrasts, along with a selection of performance-oriented upgrades. Notable enhancements include front fog lamps, lightweight Lexan rear pop-out windows, new Toyo Proxes R888R tires, extended wheel studs, Koni struts and shocks, a short shifter, a roll bar, lightweight interior components, and more. Acquired by the seller in 2015, this long-hood 911 is now being offered for auction out of California.
This 911T Coupe was stripped to bare metal and refinished in its original shade of Ossi Blue between 2010 and 2011. The exterior is further enhanced with a red-painted front bumper and rear decklid, vinyl door roundel decals, front fog lamps, aerodynamic side mirrors, and lightweight Lexan rear pop-out windows. The car rides on 15” Fuchs wheels with extended wheel studs and new Toyo Proxes R888R tires. The seller notes that all body panels are steel, except for the hood, and mentions some fading trim and patina consistent with age. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
Inside, the car features black bucket seats with Crow 5-point harnesses and a bolt-in roll bar with welded tabs for added rigidity. Modifications include a black headliner, SWB kneepad, Ultrasuede dashboard cover, and the deletion of the clock. Minor rust repairs were made to the floor and rear parcel shelf during the exterior refinishing. The heater and radio have been removed, although all other accessories are confirmed to be in working order.
Power comes from a 2.7-liter flat-six engine sourced from a 1976 Porsche 911. Completed in 2013, less than 1k miles ago, the engine is said to have been rebuilt by a local Porsche specialist and upgraded with RS pistons and cylinders, E-series heads and cams, and mechanical fuel injection. The rear wheels are driven through a 5-speed 901 manual transmission equipped with a short shift kit. The car is equipped with Koni front struts featuring Koni inserts, along with Koni rear shocks.
This sale will include a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “This is a fun little ‘outlaw’ built over many years using lots of special parts that I had collected for myself along the way. While I've owned the car for over 15 years, it has been back on the road only since last year, and I have put less than 1000 miles on it since then. The car drives very well, is light and nimble, and has a great motor. I have several other air-cooled cars, and as I get older, it is more difficult for me to drive this as originally intended, so I have decided to pass it on to its next caretaker.”

Yep at that price it's all yours. LoL
Thanks for all the bids, but not enough to get it done today. Car will go back in the garage and we will have some fun with it in the local mountains this fall.
if it is close, it's a steal.
I'm out, but I don't think we are close enough anyway. Good luck.

As we wind down to the last few hours, I will be available to answer any remaining questions and the car is at my shop in Van Nuys for any last minute local inspections. Clear California title in my name, car is ready to be enjoyed and would make a great holiday gift for that special someone! I can store the car indoors through the end of the year if necessary. Don't wait for the last second to bid here, as the clock resets in the final two minutes. Thanks for the bids, questions and comments so far.

My friend was kind enough to take the car out today and make a driving video. Here’s a link to YouTube:

For anyone interested, here’s a short video of the car being chased by a 914-6 up Angeles Forest Highway last year as the car was first getting back on the road:

@DaveWadf - I’m pretty active in the local Porsche community and haven’t heard of you either 😉
Yes, clear California title in my name.
Is the title a California title, or another state?
I’m pretty active in local Porsche stuff, I’m surprised I haven’t heard of your shop, especially if you specialize in air-cooled.

Quick update on auction closing. I am out of town for a family emergency and won’t be back until Monday, so PCarMarket has agreed to graciously extend the auction closing until Tuesday. I expect to post a proper driving video on Tuesday before auction close. In addition, the car is at my shop and available for inspection tomorrow (Saturday) or Monday. Thanks
@chq - hi graem, yes I believe we have met, thanks
@AIR_MotorSports Thank you for replying! I may have met you before! I do want to come to your shop for a visit. I'm Graem Elliott from CaliperHQ.com. We're in Signal Hill!
Just a quick update. Driving the car yesterday. I heard a bit of noise from the front wheels, so we are replacing the front wheel bearings today and there was some cracking in the cold start lines for the mechanical fuel injection, which are being replaced. Car is ready for a new owner to enjoy!
@CHQ - Thanks, that’s my shop in Van Nuys- AIR MotorSports. We are primarily a Porsche restoration shop. Visitors are welcome.
Very cool P-Car! What the name of the shop with all the cars in it?
