Following the iconic 300SL and 190SL, Mercedes-Benz introduced the W113-generation SL-class in 1963, with its uniquely shaped removable hardtop, hence the nickname “Pagoda”. Introduced in 1967, the 280SL featured a more robust 2.8-liter M130 inline-six engine. This 1969 SL is finished in silver over a cream leather interior and is equipped with the highly desirable 4-speed manual transmission, air conditioning, a Becker Mexico stereo, and more. Originally delivered to Italy, this Pagoda was imported to Canada in 1999 and is now being offered for auction once again on PCARMARKET out of Quebec.
Finished in silver with a matching pagoda hardtop and a blue fabric soft-top convertible, this Italian-market example features European headlights, dual exhaust outlets, chrome bumpers, fender flares, and mirrors. Additional chrome trim consists of the grille, door handles, and windshield trim. This 280SL rides on polished 14” slotted aluminum wheels with body-colored hubcaps wrapped in Vredestein tires. The seller notes that the soft top is new. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The cabin is upholstered in cream fabric with a matching dashboard and contrasting carpets. Equipment includes a 2-spoke steering wheel with wood trim accenting the upper dashboard and center console, manual window cranks, an under-dash A/C system, a windshield defroster, an analog VDO clock, and an original Becker Mexico AM/FM stereo. The Seller notes that an air conditioning compressor was installed under current ownership and all gauges, electronics, and accessories are reported to function as intended, with no warning lights present.
Powered by a Bosch fuel-injected 2.8-liter M130 SOHC inline-six engine, the 280SL sends up to 158 HP to its rear wheels by way of a rare 4-speed manual transmission. The seller notes fluids were refreshed yearly, and no outstanding maintenance items have been reported.
This sale will include a window sticker, a toolkit, a spare tire, an air pump, a car cover, a removable hard top, and a clean title.

@classickid You will not find a Specimen THAT Gorgeous Below 100k having same specs. It just doesn’t Exist. It may be North of the Border, but just a 24 hour drive from Miami / Florida.
This unit pulled strong numbers, especially for being north of the border. I would peg its value if it were south of the border around the same 60-70 USD.
Thanks to All
Will take More Muscles to Lift the Bar Way higher, few more notches.

@ckcatpcar Not my First Rodeo.it will be a breeze and a Seamless process. 5 ⭐️
What was mileage when current owner purchased or how many miles during current ownership?
What is needed to import this to the US and what rate would it be charged at? Are you aware?
Asking again please about front headlight notches.
Also, how do you know it is 'numbers' matching and what does that mean specifically in what you are saying please?
I do not understand what picture #93 is to show us. Please explain.
@ckcatpcar Correct. No Rust. Rust free.
Mark my Words: NOT A TRAILER QUEEN: Surely an Excellent Driver!!
( How About That : Do We Agree !? )
Offering seldom seen configurations: Manual MT & Euro HeadLamps, in Fantastical Shape.

@icemen125 Good Eyes: odometer is in Kms, and it shows 20500 kms. Typical low mileage when a car is privileged, never been driven as daily driver, and part of an extensive Collection. This is What We have here.
Condition of the wood grain is great. Very presentable. On Original Patina, the one You can’t fake. Solid car under carpet. Storage condition always was Optimal.
No documents, as mentioned.
I Agree with You. Quality of Pictures could have been greater. It was Noon, zenith Top Sun, definitely not Golden Hour ( right Before SunSet )…
See Picture #93, as mentioned Before, to have a better understanding of What This Iconic Automobile is.
Winner of this Lot, if / After Reserve is met, will be SuperStoked; Very Happy.
I am trying to understand and confirm there are absolutely no books or records on this car correct? Since not from prior owner and none kept during current ownership either since it was done in-house'.
And you are 100% sure there is no rust under the rear deck behind the seats nor under the trunk mat where you typically fine it, not in the foot wells at all?
The listing states there are 20,127mi on the vehicle. The odometer should be in Km but there is no picture to depict or confirm the mileage. Can you please state how many km are listed on the odometer (yes, I know I can do the conversion) but I want to know what the odometer actually reads.
Also someone else asked already, but what is the condition of the wood on the interior and the area in the trunk under the mat, can you please let us know.
Also is there any documentation with the car, data card, import papers etc.
The pictures are a bit weak for a car of the caliber you are describing. We are at your mercy for information seller and your responses have not been direct to prior comments.
Please Check Picture #93 to have a better understanding on what You are Bidding.
It’s like a Franklin Mint 1:1 Scale Model.

I am not seeing any pics of books and records on the car. How extensive are they?
How long has he owned?
I cannot tell from the pics, are the headlight notches present?
What is the condition of the trunk under the mat where is typical for rust?
Does he have the data card to the car?
At repaint, were all spot welds kept in place as should be on the car both on the exterior and in the engine bay?
The center console is not original is this something he modified?
