Produced from 1957 to 1975, the Fiat 500 has become celebrated for its compact size and distinctive design. Powered by a 499cc inline-twin engine paired with a 4-speed manual transmission, this 1969 Fiat 500L comes finished in white over black upholstery. Recently refreshed, it received new spark plugs, an oil change, an oil filter cleaning, a new battery, new tires, and additional updates. This iconic Italian microcar is now offered for auction by the seller in California.

This example is finished in white and features a retractable black soft top, polished chrome bumpers with tubular guards, bright chrome trim, dual mirrors, Fiat badging, and a vented engine cover.  It rides on 12” steel wheels adorned with polished hubcaps and Pirelli Cinturato CN54 tires. The seller adds that the top has been replaced, and the spare wheel was refurbished and fitted with a new tire. One dent on the passenger quarter panel is noted, detailed images are provided in the gallery.

Inside, the cabin presents black upholstery, front bucker seats, a rear bench seat, a two-spoke steering wheel, and Veglia instrumentation. The seller adds that the seats and door cards were reupholstered, and new carpets were fitted.

Power comes from a rear-mounted 499cc air-cooled inline-twin engine. The rear wheels are driven through a 4-speed manual transmission. The seller reports the oil filter was cleaned, new oil was filled, the spark plugs were replaced, and a new battery was fitted. No outstanding maintenance items have been reported.

This sale will include a clean title, owner’s manuals, a spare tire, an air pump, and a box of extra parts.

The seller would like you to know: “This car presents well overall, with good single-stage paint, an excellent interior, and a new functional top. The undercarriage is decent, and while it’s not perfect, the car drives great and brings joy with every outing. Ideal for leisurely Sunday drives on backroads, it’s not suited for freeway speeds, as it’s hard to exceed 50 mph.”

    Hi everyone
As we move into the final day of the auction just wanted to let you know that the car is in great running condition, we just changed the oil, removed filter cap and cleaned filter out, as you may be aware there is no traditional oil filter in this car. It’s a velocity built-in filter where the gunk in the oil gets trapped onto this filter housing and it’s recommended at the time of oil change to open it clean it out, while that was being done the engine itself was pulled out. There was one area where it needed to be resealed I believe was the pan gasket and they sealed it. Basically engine refresh, changed fuel filter, spark plugs, cleaned out air filter as well, the car starts up really quick at cold start we put a brand new battery in it, spare tire was too old. We put a brand new tire on the spare after having the spare redone as it had some surface corrosion on it. They finished it in silver, a little off from the other four wheels in regards to color match, the tires that are on the car are little bit older with date code , but they are all in as new condition and since the car has always been inside, there is no cracking on the tires, we keep them pumped up to prevent any type of flat spotting, but the car is so light that it’s not a big concern. For the auction winner we are happy to store the car for up to three weeks. Should they need to arrange their own transport or happy to connect with the Transport broker we have they are great. They make it fast and easy and sharp competitive rates the good thing about this car is it pretty much takes the space half as much as a car or SUV, so I’m sure Transport rate will be a lot lower. Feel free to reach out with your city and ZIP Code and I can get you exact pricing.
